Question About gear...

why did they jack up the price again?

Because people will pay it.

I can't fathom why... for much less than what people are paying OTD for new Ninja 250s, there are a host of used bikes that are beginner-friendly or gas-sipping or flickable, depending on what they're getting the twofiddy for.

i know. i heard how some of the dealers are just taking advantage of bikers like that...

by the way i checked out the two sites you suggested, i saw a lot of good stuff...but hmmm...damn a full leather jacket is not cheap!!! any sugestion?

WOW!!! are you serious??? these look great!!! but I wait until next time when I go to the shop. these are slightly over kill for me. but i have a great style suggestion: desert digitial cammie, matches with kelvar ballistic helmet!!! hehe (tuck a rifle behind me)

these were the suits i was talking bout just click on the tilt customs...im just not sure on the quality. http://www.bayarearidersforum.com/forums/showthread.php?t=217337&page=28

JaJa: u might be interested in this as well

No tears or significantly blown seams after a 60 MPH get off says it is decent quality. Not going to be the same as a $2k suit, but so far all the reports are the quality is pretty decent, especially for the price. 1.4 to 1.5MM leather is good. Most the jackets by A* and Joe Rocket are 1.2-1.4MM. A plus is having it built to your body type and size. You have to be pretty lucky to get something off the shelf that fits right.

As long as it has CE approved protection (or the capability to insert CE approved) for elbow/forearm, shoulder, and back, then I would be happy with it. Especially the 2 piece if you don't plan on hitting the track hard.

Just my 2 cents.

i just emailed Daniel about coming in to get fitted for my suit :thumbup im excited. thanks again twisted ;)

Nice, then you too can report back on the quality and fit. Knock on wood, you won't have to "test" it. Also, you have to post pics! :leghump

Anyone know how significant single-stiched seams vs. double-stiched seams is? I'd be more inclined to go with double-stitched, but it's just a SWAG on my part.

i am no expert, but isn't double stiched always better than single?

Especially for riding gear. Also needs a hidden seam on the inside so that if the outer seams get ground down then the entire seam doesn't get blown.

going to get fitted on saturday. ill keep u guys updated with the entire process.

:laughing actually daniel is going to do that for me im going to drive for an hour to morgan hill to get fitted. :thumbup:thumbup
