Question About gear...

Aerostich

Aerostich Roadcrafter One Piece
Jump in, zip up, your good to go.

Sidi boots, I like the On Road Sympatex for basic riding, or any of the sport riding products they make

Helimot gloves, the very best.

Arai or Shoei helmet Arai is lighter weight, but noiser, Shoei, quiet, but heavier. Both are good brands.

All of the products above have been personally crash tested, by me. And I am still alive.

problem with just buying a one piece like i said before is i think it wont zip up. it wont be really snug like it is suppose to be. as far as a helmet goes id like to get one that is really quiet and isnt super heavy. when i was doing msf my neck was sore from keeping the helmet up. and i have i think i good set of boots and gloves. but i plan on buying gloves that go past my wrist. the ones i have now stop at the wrist.

you cant have it all for helmet, it's either quiet and heavy or light and noisy...(sigh) girl so picky...

the good thing about one piece is you can mix and match other clothes, and is a lot easier to get in and out of!! in case you just saw that really cute guy and need to show your stuff!!

if you aren't too picky about the color scheme check these guys out

I bought my shoei tz-r from them for $200. you can find some models from $200-240 range. and some shoei rf-1000 for $300

When I did the unscientific back-to-back try-on test, the RF1000 felt lighter enough than the TZ to be worth the extra moola. I wear earplugs and highly recommend them to all riders, so noisy isn't an issue. :)

All helmets (every one I have ever tried) are too loud. Earplugs are the way to go.

so most riders wear ear plugs? i kinda wanna be able listen to music...is there some sort of system i can use to hear music or do u guys just use your ipod or mp3 players ear phones? and i do like shoei i want a clor scheme and an all white one. thanks for the recommendations :thumbup

try out some earphones that double as earplugs. I saw some at FYE they have this rubber piece on the ends that you push into your ear and it has a kind of plunger effect, so they cancel out all other noise. They sound good too, I think they go for $12 or so.

cool..and they are cheap awesome. thanks manny

what about just regular IPOD earphone, they are pretty good too

Not really, you would have to be messing with the volume when coming to stops. With the engine and wind noise I'd have to turn up the volume to barely hear it, then when coming to a stop or slowing down the volume is way too loud.

yea i actually had ear phones like that. they were great never thought about using them for ear plugs..they would definately work cuz they go directly into the ear drum.

I'm a former moto music listener. My SO convinced me to try earplugs instead of music for a week, and I was a convert from then on. I didn't realize how fatiguing wind noise was and how distracting music is until I went without. I can't recommend ditching the tunes and putting in the plugs highly enough.

really?? well i guess since im starting out the best thing for someone like me to do is ride in complete silence so all my focus is on riding.

..i mean with minimal(spelling?) noise as possible with the earplugs in.
