Really Salinas?

When you're taking rounds from a 7.62 it doesn't really matter if it's full auto or semi auto, your crown vic won't care either

Probably better if it's auto being that the shooter more than likely has no experience with muzzle climb. One or two rounds in the Crown Vic and twenty eight in the sky.

While you put two in center of mass.

If Ohio State has one, so should Albany High, and Thornhill Elementary, I mean they're free right ? :laughing

Sacred Heart Preschool needs a couple of those! :laughing

Please do.
I've had to pour bleach over bloodstains on my driveway.

I've watched 100+ bystanders heckle and throw eggs at the eight LEOs that were trying to control a murder scene.

My two-doors-down neighbor was arrested for drug dealing by a multi-departmental group, including our big-ass SWAT support vehicle. Turned out that he, a parolee, had a fair number of firearms, including a fully automatic one. I guess criminals don't obey laws?

I've been granted safe access to East Las Casitas Drive only because I was vouched for. I've been granted safe access to Acosta Plaza, again only because I was vouched for.

My townhouse has been shot through-and-through in a drive-by shooting. My father's parked truck was hit by gunfire from a different drive-by.

So, non-Salinas-residents, tell me again why my local LEOs don't need some hard cover?

Written like someone who has no experience at the wrong end of the muzzle...

Pro tip...time to move, bro! :laughing

maybe if they painted it blue instead of murdered out flat black it wouldn't be so scary..

Yeah, but it looks so bad ass!

I certainly could, but I couldn't do that in good conscience. The preponderance of my neighbors are honest working folks. We have lots of retirees (who can't afford to move) and a large number of families with kids (who also can't afford to move).

"The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is that good men do nothing."

In the meantime I'll be that crazy white guy in our hood with the cellphone and pepper spray, who tells folks to actually try working with our cops.

It doesn't get better until people make it better.

So, non-Salinas-residents,
You're not the only person in the world to be shot at, robbed, or catch a round in their car or house.

That's not the question, and it's not "cover" when you're hanging off the side of it.

As for training, shit you guys need training just to drive fast, then add 12+ tons on top of it all. It's the liability that comes into question.

It is cover. Do you not think that SWAT guys understand when and where to use the ballistic protection aspect of a vehicle like this? These types of vehicles can be used for down civilian/officer rescues, barricaded subjects, etc... Just because you saw Colin Ferrell standing on the running boards of an SUV on TV doesn't mean that's how it happens in real life.

And the training aspect of it isn't anything special. These types of vehicles do not require a special type of license endorsement to my knowledge. It probably goes a max of 50mph. A simple 10hr training day in which the officers can familiarize themselves with the vehicle is sufficient if not excessive. Roll that training day into the training time that POST requires for all SWAT teams and there is no extra training expense.

But, haterz gonna hate so keep on keepin' on guys... :thumbup

And you are far from the first one to talk out his ass as if he knows anything at all about Salinas... :rofl

Who is hanging off the side of what, and who is driving fast? What are you talking about, (or are you just plain trollin')?

You live in P.R.K., what the hell do you know?

There's plenty of pics of Boston PD doing just that. Disagreements on future government spending with you = hate. :laughing

Thanks, for clearing that up. What do I know about dangerous neighborhoods in U.S. cities anyway, since I never lived in Salinas. :rolleyes

Don't pm me again, you're probably drunk. "FU FU" isn't a conversation or even a dick measuring contest, which is what we've derailed into.
