RIP 5/22 Nicky has passed (was: Nicky Hayden seriously injured)

A good friend of mine is close with him and his family and I just got word he passed. It hasnt hit the news yet. Heart breaking.

RIP Kentucky Kid.

Is there anyway you can wait for or link an actual reliable source?

Not that you aren't reliable, but everyone is on needles and pins and it's just tough to deal with the "FOAF" info that seems to permeate these events.

There are a number of fake news stories circulating as to Nicky Hayden's condition. Please do not share or post them to our timeline. We will update you the minute we have verified facts on Hayden's health. Please be respectful to the Hayden family. Thanks -- CN

Good advice don't spread fake news.

The family HAS NOT issued a statement that Nicky is dead.

Nicky IS NOT dead, although he is on life support.

Good call there.

The is a family of true motorcyclist praying for their son, brother, nephew and a solid wealth of hearts of the motorcyclists who love our racing heros. Specially when they are nice, cool, talented and caring towards us as Nicky.

No professional athlete BS. (NBA/NFL etc). Nicky has exemplified all things good about being a motorcycle racer and an American.

Nicky is the current generation Moto Icon. He is one from mine too. Not many people sit along side Kenny, Wayne, Kevin, Eddie, Freddie, KRJR., Randy, Colin, Fred, Doug and a dozen more road racers and flat trackers in my Moto heart.
(Yeah I have my own HOF. Bet a lot of you do to.)

Nicky did a bit of both and sits beside these dudes as ultimate racers and as high as any in terms of being a good man.

Praying for you 69

The global outpouring of support shows the amazing impact Nicky had on everyone whom was in contact or had knowledge of him and his tremendous success as a person racer and family member.

JFC would you people stop posting he's dead unless you have a link from a credible source already!

Not that this thread is the right place for this conversation, but the pic is random from the Internet. I do, however, fly the 60L and am Mike qualified as well with an S-70 type rating. Any other stupid questions start a new thread or PM me.

This article came out earlier today. The news just came from Jen who is there and is Jackie's (Nicky's wife) sister. They were flying to canes and diverted there to be with Nicky.

I pray it isnt true and still hope for the best.
