Road Rage ,,what to do?

I'd just let it go....

I wouldn't want to let the anger of the incident get the best of me....

sure I can get back at an asshole but there's more out there to encounter sooner or later again and the list can grow and it only takes one bad turn to lose a life or take a life.....

the hardest is to forget and even forgive but its a step of handling things for the better.....

don't do things that'll escalate it anymore than it needs to and have regrets later if it does.....

In the remote village of Fresno, a wise elder once said:

" if everyone seeked revenge on those who offends them, there would be noone left in the world..."

Yes he did....

This has truth, wisdom and insight but we Fresnonians kicked his ass for talking so damn much....

Yes we did....

If I can get their license plate numbers, I call 1-800-EXHAUST and report them as a polluter. I'm not sure what the California Air Resources Board does with the information (letter, invitation to a referee station?), but it gives me some satisfaction of revenge.

Hey, if they're driving erratically, call them in as a possible "DWI" as soon as you can after the incident. Pull off the road if you have to. Give description and plate (if you can remember it) and direction of travel.

You don't have to draw any conclusions about WHY they're driving in such a way as to be dangerous... you just have to report it. As has been said before, one complaint probably won't do much - but if multiple 'erratic' complaints come in on the same vehicle, the cops will 'pour all over him like maple syrup'.

Field sobriety tests can mess up your whole day.... and yes, it does serve as aversion therapy - if they get pulled and tested after every incident they have with a bike, pretty soon they'll figure it out.

the 'bad-ass sportbiker mob' idea has merit, but personally I don't think I'd be willing to put up with the negative connottaions either... the HA's had to put up with a lot of crap from the cops just because of who they were, broken laws or not. Not to mention restraunt owners, hotel or motel managers, and so forth... do you want to take on that stigma just to get a half-way intimidating 'rep' with Joe Motorist? I don't think so.

but that's me. those that want to be perceived as 'bad boys' are welcome to band together for mutual intimidation factor... who knows, if some jerk cuts off a biker, perhaps it WOULD be a good thing for them to get up the next morning to find fifty-odd bikes and their riders arrayed on his front lawn... you know, just to say hello, have a good day at work, don't run over anybody... :D
