Motorcycles are legally entitled to their own lane of traffic. In no situation are you allowed to drive your automobile in the same lane and in close proximity to a motorcycle. No matter how small these vehicles are or how much extra room that there appears to be, sharing a single lane with a motorcycle is a recipe for an accident and illegal.

OK, I just asked this question under the LEO forum thread. "Car lane sharing with a bike". Consensus was it is legal, however, I don't know if any responses were actually from LEO. I do believe that single lane two way with DY provides for no legal overtaking, but otherwise I don"t know of or have never heard of restrictions. I was hoping for more open LEO response but I am willing to bet it is a difficult subject to spell out. I'm sure any LEO seeing a car acting recklessly, crowding one of us, would respond appropriately.

I see this trend with todays youth.
