Roofing nails on 84

wonder if anyone from law enforcement has ever talked to that asshole who rides a Harley, drives an old blue 280z, and an old P/U.

He lives in the trailer park where the old fire engine is parked (just down the street from Apple Jacks). He hates sport bikers and has tried to run them off the road in his 280z.

BTW not referring to chain saw dude (he's actually calmed down from what i've seen)...he's a completely diff nut case, who has been mysteriously missing last few months. maybe in jail :idunno

too bad he doesn't have a real bike (pun intended). Maybe his attitude would change.

Jim Chalkley, aka Chainsaw Jim after an incident in front of Alice's a few years ago. It's an interesting story, and a search sholuld turn up lots of posts about him.

Long story short. He got pissed at a couple sportbike riders because they passed him on Skyline. When he got to STP, apparently some words were exchanged and Chainsaw dude walks over to his truck and pulls out his chainsaw, starts it up and starts chasing bikers; one happened to be an off duty Sheriff.

Chainsaw dude eventually runs off into the woods and was picked up later. I think he did a small amount of jail time over it.

He used to live behind STP in the trailer but he moved out awhile back. Haven't seen much of him or his dog since around the beginning of this past summer.

Someone started a rumor that he beat his dog to death, but that turned out to be bull shit.

That location would be known as Boots and Saddles to the locals...

Yes, I agree. While it certainly looked like someone purposefully spilled oil on the road, I got a call from another reliable person that it was a motorcycle that crashed spilling the oil and knew the riders that were involved.

The spill across the road was the result of dragging the motorcycle to the other side of the road.

I'm glad it wasn't malicious after all, especially on a day where we raise about $10,000 for the La Honda Volunteer Fire Dept.

I do wish I had known that it was caused by a bike crash as it would have saved me a bit of work and from unnecessary meetings with the various police departments and a county supervisor.

The line of oil across the road was exposed as a downed bike and the rider chose to keep that a secret to save face.

Is it possible that this is a similar situation and it was a Ducati that crashed?

I always assumed it was some kind of metal pieces making that noise they make...

I would say the next time there's an event in the area, there should be scouts checking the routes and have check points to keep an eye out not only for the "saboteur...sabotager...sabater..the fucking asshole who's trying to fuck things up but also help keep the m/c image in a positive light by help policing our own and keep the speed down...
+1

As we are out on the roads and "see" more than other vehicles, it would be prudent to being more conscious of dangerous materials and situations on the road. Perhaps we can catch ourselves a "hater".

I passed a group of riders on Redwood where one of them had crashed in the wicked part of a curve. They just sat there and watched while I slipped and slid through a puddle of oil the downed rider's bike had leaked out all over the road. Those guys had been there for at least 90 minutes waiting for a pickup and just left the oil still wet and slippery as hell in that corner.

A friend (BMW-Richard) and I went back and used bits of fairing to scoop dirt over the spill so that it soaked up the oil. Built up the karma points and most probably saved another biker(s) from going down that day. :teeth
