San Francisco Motorcycle Club - Est. 1904

we had our annual Club Fellowship Campout this past weekend with the Pasadena Motorcycle Cub (established in 1907) and the San Jose Dons Motorcycle Club (established in 1932—with roots tracing back to the original San Jose Motorcycle Club founded in 1906):

and Saturday’s appropriate sunset …

we ate very well, sprung for the tepid baths in Song Dog provided galvanized troughs, watched the MotoGP sprint race on Saturday morning and the classic western “The Good, The Bad and The Ugly” that evening.

my own pre-gen KLR was treated to dirt roads in Carrizo Plain and Parkfield Grade on the ride home, today … can’t wait ‘til next year’s Fellowship Campout with the PMC and SJ Dons. :ride

if you have an interest in motorcycles check out you local mom-and-pop, family style, AMA motorcycle club. :angel
Good stuff John!
Makes me want to go camp at Songdog.

California historic moto clubs,

still meeting up,

Any ambition to redo those Pismo Pix of all Ca's moto clubs,
on the beach ?

I did hear some rather serious talk this past weekend about another SFMC/PMC Gypsy Tour to try to recreate one of the old panoramic photos on our clubhouse walls—discussing having a two-year planning run-up to such an event, and trying to find someplace up in the Sierras, since I think where the Pismo historic photo was taken is now closed to motor vehicles? idk.

anyway, here’s a couple pics from 2010 when we had our last pano-photo Gypsy Tour:

we’ll see … we talk a lot. :blah :laughing

(will say that the two people doing the talking are guys who have a track record of making things happen. :dunno )
