The first thread on the loud pipe crackdown predicted that the cops would go after cruisers. I was actually pleased to see that every bike pulled over was a cruiser. I'm not trying to hate on Harley riders or anything. It's just that so many cruisers are LOUD in San Francisco. Loud pipes are one thing, but hearing a bike from 5-10 blocks away is ridiculous.

FWIW, I love the sound of a modified exhaust. I just think that having pipes that are that loud is disruptive to the citizenry. I know I get irritated every time I'm woken up by a loud ass cruiser at 2am. What about you?
 
With my dual Yoshi pipes I've blasted at 7000 RPMs on my SV-1000 past cops (unknowingly) and they don't give a crap. Either cops in the city have had too many bad experiences chasing down sport bikes or they respect the sport bike community more than the harley community.

Hating is OK by me. We're all going to take the heat because of a bunch of attention seeking, white trash, douches. You can be certain it's the Harley cretins that have brought this crap upon us. I've lived in a couple of areas afflicted by weekend warrior, wanna be HA, straight pipe morons. It sucks spending a nice summer afternoon listening to assholes revving their shit heaps up and down the main drag. If these clowns piss me off, they must make Joe and Jane Public livid.
