I don't believe they carry Shark anymore because the US distributor dropped out a while ago. Last few times I was there helmet shopping, I didn't see any. You might want to call ahead to ask. Might save you a trip.I'll give 'em a try next time I'm down there, thanks.
OP: You should educate yourself on helmet certifications. Just because a helmet may have a SNELL cert doesn't mean you are any safer than a non-SNELL.
Road Rider in San Jose, I believe, although it's four years since I've been in there and their website is a bit flakey.
Anything is better than the shit Arai helmets, which are overpriced and fly to pieces at the drop of a hat. Flame on, please.
They still have really thick shields. Few years ago the top of the line had 3mm visors. Now, the speed r has 4.25mm in the middle, tapering to 3mm on the sides.
Some sites carry them. No local distribs. My understanding is the have a new stronger distributor. Most of the major websites carry them as well.
So crash tested?I owned the shark RSI when it first came out years ago, great helmet and even took a crash weeks after buying it. Only thing i didn't like was the egg shape it gave me, seemed too large while fitting my head.
very true. there are some who would argue that a SNELL ratings could be more dangerous for the rider that a DOT or ECE

It appears that no local distribs carry them, and I'm still sol on trying one on.
