Skyrim

They used a decent number of voice actors, compared to morrowind or oblivion which really had a tiny voice cast

Yup, but too bad they used what seems like only three voice actors for the whole damn game. :laughing

Well, even though I haven't looked at the listing for the voice cast, I'm almost certain that Tom Arnold is one of the voice actors... I hear his voice and I just can't get the comedy slant image out of my head... even when he does teh voice of the guy in the prison and starts weeping about them killing his children... You just keep waiting for him to say "Hey buddy!" :)

fire dragon: bonk! ded
frost dragon: bonk! ded
regular dragon: bonk! ded
blood dragon: bonk! ded

elder dragon..... :wtf
(snaps my head off and tosses my corpse aside in one hit)

Enchanted gear + perks = +~180% 1H damage. Mace of Molag Bal + Chillrend (paralyzes dragons damn near every other hit) = toe to toe with elder dragons, occasional health potion but at times have been able to take them out sans potions. (Also have 2H companion w/ enchanted ebony battleaxe + gear that adds something like +80% 2H damage).

and yet, I've logged nowhere near the same amount of time or effort the others in this thread have :laughing just some simple math and observations from playing. :dunno (for example, I'm only level 46. Shades is 81.)

I have to admit that even though they're using more people for voices than in their previous games, you still run into situations all the time in conversations where you say in your mind "Oh, that guy is doing this voice too..."

It's strange to me because with a $100 voice module that I've seen for singing and such, you could take one person's voice and make it sound like a hundred different voices just by fiddling with the pitch (and there are dozens of other parameters you can alter)... Maybe they should have kept the known actors voices unaltered, but then for random people like guards and townsfolk and such they could just randomize the voices... A small frustration given how good the game is, but it was just surprising assuming that their production budget must have been huge...

In one of my flight sim add-ons for air traffic control, they had only one voice actor doing all the radio traffic (you knew it was the same person because of the way they said certain words, and by varying the pitch of the voice they made the person very convincingly sound like anything from a 300 pound steel worker to a 90 pound female high school student...

Found this video, but haven't been able to get it to work yet.

Anyone else with the loop glitch having any success? As soon as Markarth loads the guards are already running at me. I don't even get a chance to pop an invisibility potion or anything.

Ummm.... Why not pop the invisibility potion BEFORE you enter?? :wtf

:laughing
