Skyrim

Fireball shout? I need to find that one.

http://elderscrolls.wikia.com/wiki/Fire_Breath

Learned during the main questline. It DOES count as AOE damage though so you can accidentally kill your companion with it unless you get one of the ones that can't be killed. Sole reason I went with Mjoll the Lioness, I looked up all the people you can have as a companion and she's like one of the only ones and the easiest to get. Head down to Riften, talk to her, she'll tell you to get her sword back. Relatively short and easy dungeon crawl, fast travel back to her, boom got yourself an unkillable partner. Chain lightning FTW.

In other news, fuck that Markarth glitch. Starting a new game cause I can't complete the Stormcloak rebellion or anything else in the city due to everyone attacking me on sight. :thumbdown I've burned invisibility potions and all kinds of shit just trying to get to this one dude I need to talk to but then the Jarl's advisor attacks me and he jumps in with her. So I can't even talk to him AFTER I sneak past all the guards.

ROGER THAT!

Oh, if you get the Ebony Blade at Whiterun, you don't HAVE to kill your friends, etc, and it will still kill anything and give you their heath/stamina, so you basically become immortal, at least during swordfights. Arrows & spells can still whack you up tho.

aren't the stats dramatically different, though, between feeding it and not feeding it?

I feed it by killing bandits, trolls, dragons, and other critters I run into. Works great! :teeth

And the Whispering Door doesn't complain. So... :shrug

I solved the Markarth Glitch by joining the Imperials and stomping the Stormcloak rebellion into oblivion (no pun intended) :) Now I am a Legate in service to the Emperor and the guards in all cities like me, except I think for Dawnstar which in reality is just the Yuba City of Cyrodill, so no loss there...

Hail Caesar!

i was under the impression that if you killed a person who was actively following you as a companion that it's stats would improve substantially. i could be awesomely wrong. :laughing

I was just there and peeps kept wanting to talk to me about some douche who was using black magic but I didn't want to take on another quest so I ignored them. Is that the challenge that will get me the "Ebony Blade?"

It's a quest that you have to talk to the jarls son about.

Talk to the babe who runs the tavern first, get the rumor that the Jarl's kids are messed up. Then talk to the Jarl, then yada, yada...

The key is in the court wizard's pocket, and he won't give it to you (never comes up in conversation) so you have to pickpocket him sucessfully (good luck with that, unless your pickpocketing skillz are better than low or know the console command ~ player.advskill pickpocket 10000 ~

Have fun, good luck, go kill things!! :teeth :thumbup :laughing
