saizai, because hyper riding is NOT racing.
They call this a sport. Even made Olympic Competition. Is it really a sport? Are these guys actually hitting the gym/ice rink hard on special diet, strength training, running miles and miles to work on stamina......NO they fricken show up game day and hope they can brush brush brush brush ice.
It's the only Olympic sport that stops for cigarette breaks. Srsly.
where can I buy those pants?
There exists car racing. So when I get in my Acura, is that a 'sport'?
There exists the Tour de France. So if I get on a bike to go to work, is that a 'sport'?
Why the hell should riding a motorcycle off the track be called a 'sport'?
I think it's just a bad idea, period; it encourages the sort of road racing / urban stunting attitude that in turn makes things dangerous for me, Mr. "I just want to ride to work / school / the nearest pretty mountain".
Yes, you /can/ treat it as a sport. But please don't, unless you're on the track or some big open out-of-the-way industrial area.![]()
I understand the spirit behind the newbie "welcome to the sport"... but please find some other phrase to use.
