Stupid STUPID!! - a.k.a my boss thinks it's cool to block motorcycles

Forward it to me, and I'll slap that shit on Facebook. :rofl

I did a bad today splitting across the Bay Bridge. Traffic was stop-and-go and I was just puttin' along at about 30mph. I always watch the drivers as well as the cars, and I see one guy not having a bike get over the bridge before him. He's looking right at me through his rear-view, and starts to pull way to the right in order to intentionally cut me off. Usually in those cases I will just switch over in order to pass on the other side, because a car can't block you on both sides, right? But not this time. I just goosed the throttle and slipped around him, but as I did I put my hand out and gave his mirror a little love-tap. Not a blow or a slap, I just let my hand drag behind me until it contacted his mirror.

I know, I know. Bad juju. It's because of people like me that all motorcyclists are painted with the evil brush. But really, fuck that guy. He knew what he was doing and figured he could get away with it. I knew I could get away with what I did too, so I did. And really, I don't think my actions changed anybody's opinion one way or another.

I'd be inclined to agree with you... although I've never actually done that, I've strongly considered it. Then you get annoying super-moral types like my husband who even disagreed with me reporting her plates to CHP when I told him about it earlier - he was concerned it could get back to me somehow. :wtf

...I put up the pic because I wanted to...

Well, there goes plausible deniability...

I am just kidding. But really, people have won law suits over spilling hot coffee, their own hot coffee. Just imagine what a medocre ambulance chaser could do with your posts and a little New York biker trouble video.

My buddy used to do what he called, "The Hammer Of Thor" and smash mirrors off when people fucked with him. He was a big, big guy, and nobody every chased him down or anything. Not that I'd recommend it or anything.

Yeah .. HE probably got away but I can imagine what's in store for the next motorcyclist that cross that driver's path.

I've wanted to smash some mirrors in the past from idiots, but this sounds like a nicer alternative. Luckily there's only been a few cagers who really needed it. What I'd really like to do is get fridge like magnets that I can keep on my tank and say "I drive like an ass-hat", and then slap them onto the offending vehicle.

I had to try to contain my desire to smack her in her stupid face when she told me this.

She told me that she took great pleasure in blocking motorcycles in traffic on a two-lane road by moving her Chevy Silverado so far over to the right of her lane that bikes couldn't split. "Basically," she told me, "I rule the road. If I can't go anywhere, then NO-ONE goes anywhere."

I sucked in my rage and told her, as calmly as possible and with a fake smile, that "We hate people like you."

Afterwards, I was still seething. Thinking about it now, isn't that illegal? She's recently moved down from Arizona, and I think that CA is the only state where lane splitting is legal. If I could tell her next time I see her that what she's doing is illegal, then I might feel a bit better (although I doubt she'd change her ways).

Sounds like it's time to block her wind pipe with your dong.

Everyone has a dong. Some have ones made of flesh, others have one (or more) made of rubber.

So, whip out that dong and jam it down her throat!

what is really cool about you guys is that the advice is really the "high road", and the rest is just playfulness...

I periodically experience the exact same mentality while commuting. A driver will stop at the far left in their lane to make it very difficult to get by. I guess some people do it intentionally. maybe most.

By far left, I think you mean the 2nd lane ( to the right of car pool ) ? If that is the case, they might just be trying to get a peek further up ahead to plan their lane leapfrog.

Maybe I'm naive, but I'm just not seeing how this makes me the bad guy? I'm just posting a picture. I haven't given names, addresses, locations, anything. I'm honestly not sure what anyone could do with this information that would possibly be of consequence.

Maybe I'm wrong, though? :dunno
