Suzuki B King

Wow, it's even uglier than a V-Strom.

If I bought one, I'd name it "Lucille."

Now come on...we all know NOTHING is uglier then a V-Storm! :twofinger:laughing

Side note, that thing is incredibly slick looking with the yosh pipes...more so then a v storm could ever be! :teeth

Dyno'ed This King at school in multiple pulls.

Quiet Bike , like near silent status....

smooth shifting maybe a fair sum better than recent memory of suzukis i have owned and ridden....actually the shifting was more silent too....

very strange shape YES...but from what i hear they got the thing tuned for handling like no other and by inspection looks so

brakes are nissin cause everyone knows tokico radials f**King suck

Dash display is very functional and rather nice looking

OK so here is what you really want to know......

With a quick few tanks through it to break it in like 100 miles it was making

HP: 155 Torque: 95

put some more miles and heat cycles through it so about 220 miles

HP: 165+ Torque: 101+

Now here is also what you wondered

Top speed rev limiter hits in both 5th and 6th gears
so in 4th gear redline you go only as fast as that in 5th and 6th also so stock
it is top speed limited to about 158+ MPH but you get there in 4th!!!!

Now we all know that suzuki is one wire away from untapping that by cutting out the gear indicator....

One other thing its only got a A mode and a B mode AND the kicker is you have to completely shut the bike down then turn it on again if you are mode switching...

That is all i care to tell about this machine and besides all those headaches I give it my GSXR stamp of approval ....let me tell you IT's FAST!!!!

Mike Bought that thing at Power Sports Vallejo.....Surprisingly....it does have a market. And given the V-Max delay in moving forward....it fits the biggest baddest....category well.

The owner also builds supercharged V-Maxs and so far no comlaints on the King.....

One other direction to go....Two Bro's

For me....naked....only the Z1000

B

I love Z1000s too.. but it looks like a scared little girl next to the B-King

I was comparing them at the dealer a couple weeks ago :nerd

Looks much better with the Yosh pipes... :thumbup

Nope.. looks like any random Suzuki GeeZer with them Yoshi pipes...

But like I said.. I guess if it's not as cheap as an SV, and it's a whole $200 more than the Haybussa, it's a doomed bike.. too expensive!!! :laughing

i remember reading somewhere that the first year run is limited in quantity... but it looks like there isn't much interest for this bike...

I was thinking of buying one, but the price turned me off. (and I had to complain about it here.)

Now that I have experienced ZX14 for the last couple of weeks, I am glad (oh sooo sooo glad) that I didn't actually go out and buy the Bking.

interesting comment, Mr. Faz! Can you elaborate on why you are now glad you didn't get the BK, since you have experienced the ZX14? I'd love to hear from a real owner perspective!

...yea'. It's humungous (did I spell that correctly?). I really like naked bikes, but even without clothes, this thing is monstrous (get your minds out' the gutter people. j/k). I do like some of its styling cues, but I think Suzuki should have thought of using another powerplant around which to produce a naked bike (like the 750, or even the 600). Anyway, my $0.02.

I will put together a thread about my experience with ZX14 in a while, when I actually get to ride it in various conditions, etc. and become more familiar with it.

But as it stands... it is simply THE SMOOTHEST engine that I have ever owned in a bike... the overall comfort level is very high, the power and its delivery so friggin awesome... (and I can't believe some/most owners do the simple modification to the intake to basically boost up the low and midrange power delivery to obscene levels... kawi engineers apparently didn't want people killing themselves pulling off of red lights but people (not me) do want that! :laughing). Overall, so soo sooo glad I went with this über-sport bike.

I like the looks of the B King....

I also like BMW and KTM motorcycles and I like dating ugly wimmenz....

I would also like to know more about the zx-14. If I can sell off one of my bikes im looking at buying a Hayabusa but a zx-14 would be a viable option. Cycle world rated it higher than the busa in a recent test. The busa was a little bit quicker but i have no plans to drag race the bike anyway it sounds like a great sport tourer.
