Sweeping Winger 2026 Photos

Wait, wait, wait. How did the bike make it out unscathed, it looked like you sumoed over a 4x4 in that video. I'd have expected as least one square wheel :laughing glad you survived the encounter with the stilted rat!
Yeah, we were all rather incredulous. Checked both rims at the incident site and nothing obvious could be seen by eye. Bike handled fine after. The only minor evidence of a collision was the side panels of the bikini fairing popped out; no broken tabs! Popped them back in and away we went for the rest of the day.

The supermoto in question...

I found the footage and location of the deer incident from the Friday ride up to Eureka. I also found the location along Orr Springs Road. It's mostly how I described it. Deer shot out, I tagged it, then I went for a little excursion.

Here's the video I've not had chance to truncate the video so go to the last 20 seconds to see the action.
A bit of a follow-up. Here's the rear view from the deer incident. Again, I've not trimmed the video so check out the last 20-30 seconds.

Hello Dr. SLO,
It was unfortunate to encounter a deer, but fortunately, you struck the timber at a perpendicular angle and subsequently landed in a soft briar patch.
By the way, that is an exceptionally well-crafted motorcycle.
Everyone enjoy your day.

Well the reflector clearly took one for the team. That was the only damage we found.

There was both some luck and judgement. A lot to negotiate as events unfolded. Hitting the timber perpendicular was part of the decision process as was trying to scrub off speed on the gravel.

By the way, that is an exceptionally well-crafted motorcycle.
Thank you!

Here are the routes that I travelled over the three days.

Friday was a fun little jaunt with CyberNate, GoGo, and RT_Russ

Saturday was a ride led by Lonstar. Unfortunately, a fire on 96 meant a shorter ride but it was fun and pie filled.

CyberNate, GoGo, and RT_Russ joined me again for the ride home on Sunday. Both the run down from Leggett and Skaggs Springs Road were a lot of fun.

Was traveling on I-80 across Nebraska a few years ago. Noted a dead deer every thirty minutes for the ~7-hour ride.

Always say to myself, "Be careful at dawn, don't ride at dusk." Then break it at some point on every multi-day ride.
