Thanks. It was free-hand design right out of his head... No art work... I just let him draw whatever he wanted. I didn't even know what it was going to be. He just assured me it would be better than what was there. He rough sketched it in ball point pen, then tattooed from top to bottom, 5 hours straight, no breaks.
I was very happy with the results.
 
Do you guys ever have to deal with people going, "Why a _____?"

Because I'm sick of explaining mine to everyone who asks and them not even understanding it and coming to the conclusion that I must regret it somehow or it was a mistake in their eyes.

Girls don't need reasons for butterfly tribal tramp stamps but I need a reason for a squid design I drew myself? Dx

oh yeah.

I stopped saying that who my woman was and just started saying it isnt anyone, just a design. easier that way :laughing

people who dont have tattoos think every tattoo has to have some major meaning, its funny to see what they do when I let them know mine emphatically means nothing

Mine means so much....to me. I don't expect anyone to understand the rationale but they expect you to explain it so they do.

After lots of research into artists for my first ink, I'm prety settled on this guy

He does lots of big work and his prortfolio is pretty impressive. And located in Concord!
 
Thanks for the suggestions. It'll take a while to work up the cash just to start it so I have time to shop around. <3
