The Home Grower's Thread

Nice:thumbup
My grow is so far behind at the minute popped 8 seeds 4 different strains .
All males, never again female seeds only still have 3-ak47 plants I’m hoping are
Females,photo seeds
Lol

4 weeks to go. Dealt with some root rot this time. I will be moving to soilless flood/drain system after this while I work on a DWC flood/drain system.

I am at height cap now, so I need to build a floating light mount which adjusts from the floor and not the ceiling so I can get some more height in the room.

Very nice plant,

If that’s all, I wouldn’t worry about it. Maybe flush and pull down nutes a hair

Buds filling out nicely. @3 weeks remaining

What’s your medium? If true soil, HAppyHighway is a better resource then I.

You should test your runoff, at the start of and after your flush (ph and ppm). When you reach neutral (same ph as tap water) you can stop.

Are you using any cal mag? I find our local water lacks sufficient for dwc

And thanks, this grow was all automated through the system in developing. It’s promising to say the least.

I'm working with 420 farms happy soil (I think that is the name) and hit her with nutrients at every watering. I have no idea what cal mag is or what dwc is.

When watering I've been using Dyno-gro grow solution and it's been amazing for the past 4 months of growth. My stem is about 3" - 4" thick and she has been topped and pulled out to resemble a bush. She's currently about 4' - 5' wide and doing much better now. Just waiting on the days to shorten so I can switch to bloom formula.

I've been flushing her for a week now and the run off is back to 6ph. New growth is slow but no nutrient burn so far. I'll be starting her up on nutrients again on Sunday with 1/3rd what I was giving her, then after a week move up to 2/3rds and will stay at that level.

Our water in Campbell sucks but the grow formula brings it to a perfect PH. I just screwed up with the nutrients.

Cal mag = calcium magnesium. It’s a standard supplement

Dwc = deep water culture. Hydroponic bucket growing

Sounds like you got it all figured out though!

Some of my buds were darkening on me and I was afraid it was mold since it’s been a tad humid recently. So I pulled one off and ripped into it to see

Everything looked good and felt good inside…

And then I remembered I was growing Blue Dream :facepalm

Oh well :laughing

:laughing

I’ve never grown a colored strain before.

It appears, with this plant, that the flowers all come in green and then they transition to blue/purple as they ripen. It happens sporadically as different flowers on the plant ripen at different times.

Which is also how mold would present. A darkening of the flower that progresses randomly through the flowers. Only difference, I can tell, is mold turns flowers into mush. I haven’t dealt with mold yet so that’s all from what I have read.

I ruled out mold by breaking open an affected flower and making sure it’s dry inside and has no visible spores present. If it was moldy, like I said above, the flower would be wet and mushy and wouldn’t break apart… it would just mush.

Looks immature to me.

Maybe a little but I needed to pull it regardless. Running out of room here. Already gave 3 plants away to make room.

I had a stem break last week and we processed and consumed it. Smoked great so it is what it is.

We had a couple branches break off “prematurely” and you wouldn’t know from the effects! Holy hell. I think with carefully handled homegrown the active ingredients are much better preserved. My buddy’s commercial op is really tough on flowers. Mechanical trimming followed by lots of processing steps that aren’t very gentle.
