^^^3x3 tray!

I didn't like growing things for a long time because I sucked at it and always had trouble with the instructions side. People/businesses would give instructions that couldn't be taken literally and something would go wrong and there were no discernible instructions to correct. Once my brain abandoned the instructions method, then caring for plants became more like a "relationship" and that's when things became much easier for me.

My issue as being the pedantic idiot I am I was looking for the "right instructions" and yet I received so much conflicting info....I finally am on the right track.

Same here byke. All the amazeballs old timer guys i have known grow by feel. Ya Kind of learn to "read" what the plant needs if you stick with it long enough and are not afraid to experiment a bit. Failue is also a good teaching tool if you can stomach the losses. I prefer outdoor grows in soil and sun because its cheap and l think more forgiving.

^^^Word.

Exactly, same here. The fact that so many people have success with such a variety of seemingly conflicting info is, in itself, a sign of the flexibility of successfully growing a plant. It's really about helping people with enough instruction to change from a digital brain to an analog brain and when they do, they'll no longer need to instructions.

I am super jelly of my friends with backyards. Last year I gave my friend a bunch of seeds, 7 survived to flower and 6 were males...the one female has lasted him 2 years.

I just have no light in the backyard and can't grow dope in the common area :)

I here ya. I have friends with much bigger and, more importantly, sunnier backyards and I drool at the possibilities when I visit. I have to remind myslef that Comparison is the theif of joy. But i have convinced one neightbor to give growng a try.

I don't even want to sell it. I just want to grow it. And then turn it into less volume via tinctures, gummies and oils and hashes.

Same here. Im an awful bussiness man. I do admire the way comercial guys get their set ups dialed perfectly and can pull huge yeilds repeatedly and consistently. But for my needs that just is not necessary. If I do 2 or 3 new and different strains a season and get decent bud off of them Im happy. Trying to get things perfect to turn a profit takes all the fun out of it for me.

Working on weed and veggies and such in the spring and summer is my favorite. If work things don't pan out, in five years I think we'll move to Hawaii and grow weed and a bunch of tropical fruit for wine and distilling.

7 acres bitches

Please dedicate 3 of that to fruit trees. Ill come up and pick peaches if you let me take home a couple of bushels.

We are trying to actually figure out something to either plant or grow. We have one area we can plants about 2 acres, but some of it is wetland soils so I am not sure if anything will grow.

Right now we are looking at grapes or pigs.

So what do you recommend for a tray for drainage for 5-gallon pots?

At this stage of the grow with the 35-40% humidity the plants need water much sooner than a week.

Ideally you'd get a tray and a stand, drill a hole in the tray and place a 5g bucket underneath, then it's all super easy. But, if you're trying to keep things low, then you just set the tray on the floor and vacuum the runoff. Those little Bucketheads from Home Depot are sweet for this kind of thing and they're only like $25. Anyway, I like the Botanicare trays. You'd probably want the 3x3 ID tray in a 4x4 tent.

So you are growing in soil right? You should be minimizing the runoff. Unless you are flushing, which if you are in soil you shouldn't really be doing unless you fuck up, any extra water just adds salts to the soil.

That said, any tray that fits under the pot will do fine. Again, you should be watering them less, but more often so you don't get runoff.

I'm using 70/30 coco/perlite.

I added humic acid to the mix tonight. Had to PH balance the heck out of it down to 6.0 (i used some 6.5 for the Indica)

Getting close with the Train Wreck....the Tiger will for sure take longer.

Can you take a close up of one of those fan leaves Jordan? It almost looks like there are tracks from leaf miners. Maybe its just frosty wich would be rad.

It's white powdery mildew. I noticed it late because of the lights...I have since killed the spores and infection. WIll likely not use the trim.

I got this stuff and it worked:

Oh. Ok. Yeah PM is a bith. I use greencure as a prophylactic about once or twice a week during veg. Works great. Safe enough to eat if you use it on veggies. It will stop an outbreak but you have to use it more than once and pretty heavily if your infected.
