It's one thing to lose when you play bad, but damn the Sharks played well. Mr Quick was having one of those special runs where you just gotta say well done sir. He made a couple of point-blank saves that were uncanny. He really was the difference.
 
Pavs shoulda top shelfed that one. Kootch woulda made it....

Sharks played better in 2nd and 3rd, but too little too late. Quick was on fire and their D has more skilled goons. Our D is skilled vets and noobs. Not good enough for todays NHL playoff runs.
 
I thought it was a great series. Not the result we were looking for, but nonetheless, entertaining. I thought Sharks, for the most part, looked like the better team; however, the Kings made much fewer mistakes.

It seems almost every time the Sharks had a defensive-zone turnover the puck ended up in the back of the net or Nemo had to make an incredible save. Losing Raffi and Havlat was pretty devastating. Lost a lot of team depth, esp in the third and fourth lines.

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the playoffs go. Not sure whom to root for. Not a fan of Chicago, Los Angeles, Boston, or Pittsburgh.
