Is Big Mack locked up?

He will start squeaking if he isn't.

he got a 5th year option extension, in which he will be paid handsomely in 2018. But apparently it's just a placeholder until a new contract is forged next year.

yeah there's rumbling about the Raiders going to be in cap trouble after Mack and then Cooper's contracts are paid. But...isn't this a good problem to have? I mean, this means that the Raiders finally have acquired a load of talent and that they have too many good players.

Not to mention Gabe Jackson will be looking for a payday soon too, probably close to what they gave Osemele. so yeah, there'll be some decisions to be made.

He's still on his rookie deal.

Raiders gonna have a 3 year window or so to win a ring before having to pay out the ass for Carr, Mack, and Cooper.

I would take a 3 year window any damned day, over what I had to watch for a dozen years.

Carr and Mack for sure...then Cooper if he can somehow pick up his play in the 2nd half of seasons. He gets nicked up and starts dropping a lot of balls. a lot. If he stays how he is, he'll get a nice payday but it won't break the bank.

I am however more worried about the price of the offensive line. they're worth it, but jesus do they eat up cap space.

damn i just got bummed all over again bout raiders moving to vegas

Well, the Raiders are primed to win now, they can't stay in the East Bay. That isn't allowed there.

They have a few of those years left in Oakland... maybe more, the FAA is getting involved now, they're saying the Vegas stadium is too tall to be that close to the airport.

im praying for some silicon valley tech billionaire to create a new racetrack in the bay area and colosseum for the raiders

That should work about as well as regular praying

gone are the days of Bay Meadows, and gone are the Oakland Raiders unfortunately. Pretty sure there's nothing that can bring back either at this point.

just think: marshawn lynch wouldn't be on the team if it weren't for the move...that's something. Now the team has a 'beast' that is very motivated for the team to have success. I think it'll be a fun next two years before they go. I'll try to enjoy it as much as I can. Then, I'll have yet another excuse to go visit Vegas.

You think someone would have checked that out already during the proposal phase. :laughing

how is skittles beast mode working out?

is he gonna be a special 3rd down back, or ground and pound him all downs?

3rd down, from what I've read. They've got some younger backs that are pretty good.

I hope Jalen Richard can avoid a sophomore slump (his aunt works in my office, she gets VIP tix to games, but hasn't missed any in Oakland), he's built like a fireplug and seemed to have a big play when they needed it last year (opening day run against the Saints)...

This year it's a must they beat KC.

Where exactly in LA are the Chargers playing this year?

Stubhub Stadium in beautiful Carson....

I'm gonna bet the people of LA shit on both teams return.

the Chargers really have to give up a lot of attendance for a few years to move north.

I hope the LA game is filled with Raiders fans in such a small venue this year. That would be great.
