another safety on IR for the Niners.

I mean they're not very good anyway but damn they have a ton of guys injured too.

Nah, dude, I mean, I was counting this as a lost season like a month ago. I have already been more focused on the Draft. With McAdoo now threatening to throw Eli under the bus, things might get interesting. Though. Eli is a roller coaster of a QB, but he is the greatest hero this team has had since Lawrence Taylor, and he doesn't have any of the 80's Cocaine induced baggage. A first year head coach going after our guy could cause a lot of friction, more so than the way McAdoo is tearing the defense apart with suspensions. There could be a Coach based implosion of this team of unprecedented proportions on the horizon if he decides to take this fight to Eli.

The GM already threw Coughlin under the bus trying to save his own weak ass, and I don't see him being any more cautious with Eli. Could be interesting, but sure is ugly either way.

I'm entrenched enough in our history where a bad season here and there doesn't really work me up too much. We are due another Superbowl win in the next 5 years or so, and I reckon we will get it. I was hoping Eli would get one more ring with us, but I suspect it will be the future guy drafted next season that picks up the ring once Eli, Big Ben, and Rivers are all gone.

I mean, it makes sense. If you have guys hurt and your season is a known waste, why rush guys back to the field, you know? Let them heal and rehab, maybe you compete next season when things are a bit better.
 
Well, Ward and Tartt both got put on IR from broken arms, Armstead was a broken hand but he was designated to return, same with Tank Carradine.

It's a roster space thing, too.

No dude, this season is Lost. All that really matters now is that Philadelphia loses.

Man I wish my 9rs could have picked up Stafford a few years ago when there were questions about his injuries and ability to come back from them. I sure hope JG is in his league.

They could have, chose not to. The thing about JG is, there is no O-Line, no receivers, no TE. You have no way of knowing what kind of QB you have even if he gets on the field, because he has no team to play with. I think you will get a good look at him next year. Bulk up the line in the 2nd and 3rd round, get you a nightmare speed WR in the 1st round. Flesh out the D with later picks.
 
Does anyone else think those hideously green Seadderal splash jerseys are worn in hopes that the Seahawks will be banned from TNF?
