Lousy sample pack, especially if you are already using Sharks.

Go to Maggards. You can build your own sampler, the prices are excellent, and the shipping is fast.

Also, if youre interested in a new razor, they have the best deal going. Stainless handle with what appears to be a de89 head for $25.
 
Thanks, checking out Maggards now. What blades would you recommend that compare to Shark Super Stainless. I get no more than 3-5 shaves out of a single blade with the Sharks. If I shave daily, I can get 5 decent shaves, if I go every other day then I'll get 3-4 before the blade is done.

My wife got me a Merkur Futur for Christmas, quite the upgrade from the previous DE.
 
I haven't tried shark super stainless, so I can't say. Blades are very ymmv items anyway.

I'd strongly recommend you give each of the Gillette 7 o'clocks and silver blues a try. Awesome blades and well priced. Try the Israeli personnas, both the red pack and the crystals. I don't like the Reds, but others do. Try feathers because everyone should at least once. I like Treets, but they are not a popular blade. Polsilvers are outstanding, but not cheap. Astras are a great value. The only blade the Maggards offers that I'd avoid is Kai. They are super expensive, and I don't think they are as good as any of the above blades.
 
Dang, I just saw that a lot of those selections are out of stock.

Www.qedusa.com has a good selection of single packs at good prices. Plus if you're in the market for a brush, their Savile Row brushes are absolutely untouchable at the price.

A friend is going to give me a 20 pack of Feather's to try. I'll grab a sampler to try after.
 
Finally got new blades, went with the 100 pack of Personnas for 12 bucks shipped.

Need to work on my technique though, I can't seem to get a super close shave and I did two passes with the grain. Going against the grain skurrs me :laughing
