Thoughts on Michelin Pilot Road 2 Tires....

Can somebody answer WITH COMPLETE CERTAINTY if:
The profile design of the Pilot Road 2 is exactly the same as a Pilot Power 2???

If they ARE the same, I would like to add myself to the group of folks who are running a Power 2CT up front with a Road 2CT at the back........

yes please, answers.

My PR2CT front is toast while the rear has probably another 3k on them. Id like to run some PP2CTs on the front until spring comes.

so far from VFR world, some anecdotals.

I'll try to get some pics later, but I just put the two fronts side by side (unused/unmounted), and they match up perfectly, essentially the same profile. That said, 07Chuck says that mounted up, the pilot power is pointier, and he would know as he mounts these things all day.

edit: the rears look quit different unmounted though.

No way are they the same. Front seems a hair rounder and back is definitely rounder/flatter and narrower, imo.

Well.... Iwon't be combining two tires, each with a different profile, on my bike then.

Thanks.

Many people have found the combo to work extremely well and the profiles are not far off...

But thats your opinion and your free to have it :thumbup
