Today's Pet Peeve

Drivers who can not figure out how to switch to low beam at night. I hope 500 lumens from my Surefire helped you see as well as your high beam helped me.

People who are never on time and can't even be bothered to let you know they'll be late :mad

Dipshits who do "the NASCAR pass"........They're coming up behind you, at a faster pace, and when they pull out to pass, they do it really slow and lazy, almost clipping you in the process. In fact if you sneezed and jerked the wheel, they probably would.

I think it's like a game to these people, to see how close they can get. Either that, or they're one of those lazy people who doesn't want to change lanes more quickly because their weak non-athletic body can't tolerate the additional G-forces.

When I reach for toilet paper and the automatic toilet no longer senses me in front of it and flushes 2 or 3 times while I'm still seated. :mad

ceiling fans... what kind of garbage are THEY made from :mad

New neighbors who put up an 8ft high fence around their 4 acres of mountain property to protect their 'privacy' before even moving in and discovering there is nobody who gives a flying fuck what you do in your backyard up here. Thanks for destroying the view for everyone, assholes.

I have... it might be... language of the ordinance is a little vague... my hope is that they didn't get written permission from their direct neighbors (they only need permission from those whose property DIRECTLY borders theirs) - but, bolded paragraph gives me hope:

"b. A special wildlife/animal problem affects the property and merits the need for the higher eight-foot height because no practical alternatives exist to address the problem. Documented instances of wildlife grazing on gardens or domestic landscaping may be an example of such a problem.
Fencing proposed for rural or hillside areas shall be of an open design that does not detract from the scenic nature or character of the surrounding area."

FWIW, they already had an 8ft high deer-fence that was minimally visually intrusive, which many people have and was totally in-character for the area.

Does it cut off any natural animal paths? Harm a frog or endangered flower? Was it built to code?
