Toe's Custom TILT suit

This whole saga is equivalent to (one of many) a massive viral marketing for a highly anticipated movie. :teeth

And it's just making me that much eager for my 2-piece that I already ordered!

All I'm going to chime in with is this: however fucking shitty TILT's suit may be, I'll just buy 3 to replace one shitty one after another. That way I'll have 3 different custom suits at my disposal. The frequency that I might crash would even make it sooo worth it having 3 custom suits bought for less than the price of a brand name one, which may or may not hold just as well as TILT's.

What you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this thread is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Your level of comprehension is simply stuck in the most primitive stage, hence your inability to grasp such a simple concept.

I mean, it would have to be.

Why else would you get a fully perforated suit?

:twofinger

i like it, Toe!!!

so when u going to paint the bike white to match ???

Nice looking suit you got yourself there. :thumbup

The other popular custom suit makers out there are great, no doubt about it. I've been to one personally, but ended up having to pass because of cost, ~$1500, and one of the most inexpensive models they had. I ended up getting a pair of custom pants made at another recommended leather place because that's where I was having fitment issues. They zip into my off-the-rack jacket and they came in at ~$500. I'm satisfied with the end product, but my purchasing experience could have used improvement. I've had the misfortune of crash-testing all of my gear and it's held up perfectly. The follow up service has been good.

Had I been given the option to get a one-piece for less than the price of the pants, however, I would have definitely investigated. It's great having another option and I will definitely keep Tilt in mind for the future. Please follow up on how the leathers hold up over time.

Yeah its hard to shell out the type of money local custom builders want for a suit, not to say they're not worth it but I know its not in my budget in the near future.

Can you get these suits in 1.5mm thick leather?

billy madison FTW. :thumbup

I had mine taken a mens warehouse. any other taylor should be able to do it... I had mine done 3 times, once at mens warehouse, once at selix tux rentals, and once with my GF's help.

^^^^^^^^^^^^

Toe, when can I come check out that suit, and who did your measurements?

:)

He also later said that MW was a free measurement, and I would assume Selix was too.

Suit

For the price it looks great and its better then jeans.

In all seriousness there are 2 sketchy items I noticed from the pictures.

1. The shoulder leather covering your collar bone overlaps and rolls under where it meets the arm leather and is single stitched. When sliding at speed this will catch and possible tear off or up.

What kind of armor is used on the shoulder and color bone area?

2. Perforated leather on the back and ass will tear in a fraction of the time solid leather will. I would get the ass at least covered with a solid piece.

What kind a armot/padding is used in the ass section?

Yes I have experience with the ground and a few suits, gloves, and helmets for that matter...:laughing:thumbup

All the armor is CE approved armor..Ill be removing all armor and taking pics in my full review of the suit this coming weekend.
as far as the perf in the ass, im going to get another layer sewn into the butt of the suit on the inside, so I dont have to worry about it.
it has hip padding, but nothing on the butt cheeks :)

IIRC Rich (ridersblock) beat him to it. :p

I have to find a helmet like this before I buy my leathers.
