Toe's Custom TILT suit

Yeh, I was planning on getting the body work wrapped but I just got it 2 days ago so it stays primed...for now.:teeth

email me your TILT logo (psd, preferably, if you've got one) to comthree AT gmail DOT com.

I meant Toe looks like me now...we both have black and white suits....le siigh. Guess we'll be seeing you at BW Friday, huh? make sure to get some of my acclaimed cookies! Look for a chick with fur boots :)

Toe, the suit looks good. Send me some of them pics so that I can whore you out to prospective buyers :twofinger :teeth

Im going to get a hold of a nice lens and take some sweet outdoor shots for you :cool :thumbup

WOW, didn't realize so many people had a thing for black and white suits. I'm expecting my Tilt suit any day now, I did black and white to go with my new White Ducati 848. Maybe they'll use us in the next Star Wars trilogy. :laughing

Care to place a wager on the "quality" and "customer service" claim? ;)

Nice suit nonetheless. :thumbup

Daniel's customer service ethic is over the top. His care and promptness are consistently evident. If by customer service you mean is TILT set up for after sale service? No. If there's any issue with your leathers that's due to manufacturer error, I know he's already handled such things promptly and thoroughly. I think a suit was missing a speed hump, so he replaced the entire suit and the rider got a twofer. Daniel does not handle after sale alterations or repairs at this time. I don't believe he has plans to either.

As for the suits themselves, the quality I've observed and the reports I've read seem at least reasonable, and up from there. My suit just shipped, so I'll know more next week.

If you've the money and inclination for a Helimot suit or some upper line off the rack, go for it! I doubt highly that any $800-1000 suit has an edge over the TILT leathers though.

It would seem the economic efficiencies of minimal corporate overhead and manufacturing location clearly support the value of the TILT brand. I'm not sure about environmental issues, but I'm sure the individuals working the Pakistani end are prospering more than if they worked for a typical factory.

i've seen every suit of every price range blown to smithereens (is that how you spell that? i've never tried spelling "smithereens" before) from what would otherwise have been pretty weak crashes.

i've also seen every suit of everyprice range take one HELL of a beating and not come apart from pretty gnarly get-offs.

it's all in the crash, IMO.

granted, there are certain things that don't bode as well as others, but i think daniel is taking all that into account (such as seams in impact zones, et cetera). :thumbup

...plenty of people talk about how broke they are and can't afford a custom suit, yet somehow they find the resources to buy a $1000 shock or $2000 wheels. So it's a bit difficult to take someone seriously who says they can't afford a custom suit while they're standing next to their tricked out $12k bike...

That will always be an issue with most riders would rather spend good money for that next moto-rag's Bike of the Year.

What Joe said.

Personally, and I'm gonna spell it out cause this issue has been dragged on for too long, but people need to shut the fuck up already and either find out on their own or move along.

I know others mean well in playing the devil's advocate, or maybe just love playing the devil's advocate (I'm guilty of that sometimes), but I think concerns have been voiced enough already that everybody gets the point.

You know what I want, I want to hear from somebody from Zooni or Helimot or whatever about what they think of Daniel's endeavor. That's really who I'd like to listen to.

I just want to see what happens when somebody crashes in one, I'll reserve my opinions until then. I recall in some other thread somebody talking about a guy who had a custom made suit made somewhere else, like the Phillipines or Korea or something and it sounded like a similar type of deal. Apparently he crashed at T-hill and the suit completely blew apart.

jesus, you're always editing your posts right as i'm quoting em. :laughing

t1 suit guy... did te suit serve it's purpose? was he all fuckered up?

my $560 from newenough.com suit has been through hell...and got hammered each time it hit the ground. i swear, everytime i hit the ground, a new seams opens or i burn holes through the leather. :laughing

so far, i haven't been hurt in it, aside from the usual "rug burn" from the suit shifting at 100+mph..but i'd never recommend the suit to ANYONE (joe rocket GPX, i think it is) simply because of the ill-places stitches on the arms. prime slide area, so of course, they open right up.

That'd be fun wouldn't it :laughing

i got no qualms doing it, honestly. i'v eonly pitched a supermoto away once before, in the pouring rain....but i'll purposely do so slide tests with no hesitation in daniels suits. i've seen the quality myself, and it looks damned good.

not really I just know he was stationed at Osan AFB, Korea and right outside the gates there are a million vendors he went to a leather place...mostly liesure jackets...they said they could make a top of the line suit but it was a single stiche suit with a little bit of foam for padding and I've been there before and they couldn't pay me to wear them. Unforturnately Rick learned the hard way but he luckily didn't get to badly hurt and he had the suit completely redun by a local apolstry (don't know how to spell that) guy
