"SCHLONG/PEEING" THEORY CONFIRMED. BOLT CUTTERS LIKELY IMAGINED OR INVENTED BY THE VICTIM TO AVOID EMBARASSMENT. If there are more victims out there and they see the pics here before being show a photo line-up their independent recollection could be called in to jeopardy. No. I just know how the justice system works. If you are lucky the guy will be picked up with the cutters in his car. If the guy is halfway smart he will "store" the cutters in his neighbor's garage. If you are lucky he will have a rap sheet. If not it is a coin toss. I hope he gets convicted but even with these pics, it is his word against Alan's and since you brought up rape cases, let alone property crimes, I know from experience it can be a crap shoot.

Alan, I'm glad your crime was addressed promptly by the PPD. Please post the case # from county when you get it so we can oogle. The guy will undoubtedly feel at home in jail, with three hots and a cot (and buddy felons), so any hopes of his being ass-raped is ludicrous...oh well...NApe

yes if the cutters were found in his possession, with his rap sheet and Alan's testimony, he is toast. More than adequate to find him guilty beyond a reasonable doubt (although this will never go to trial).

If the cutters were not found on him, the case will be extremely weak (unless they found and linked other property in his possession to other victims). Some thieves are pretty stupid and since he is on parole, they might be able to lean on him pretty hard and get a plea bargain.

If you really wanted to nail him, you should have called the cops and let him continue on unmolested. If they catch him standing in front of your trailer with half your shit in his car, it is open and shut.

Of course then you take the chance that the cops will drag ass, and he will walk off with all your shit before they can pick him up. its a crap shoot as always.

Sounds like a good ADW charge to go along with the attempted burglary. Should hopefully be enough, enhanced by his parole violation, to put him away for a few. Good job on doing the smart thing, instead of the first thing that would come to most peoples mind.

The alleged asshole was about 6 inches shorter than me, probably 80 pounds lighter also. I probably could have jumped him and beat him into submission but then I'd probably be the one in jail biting the pillow.

I really wanted to nail him, so I acted. I wasn't going to wait for the cavalry to show. He would have been LONG gone by then. My mistake was not dialing 911 as I left my desk to go outside. Had I done that, the dispatcher would have gotten a call with no one there to answer questions- which I would hope they would place some sort of increased priority on. But even then, there were very few officers on duty on Easter Sunday at dinner time. Which is probably what this alleged fuckstick was counting on in the first place. Remember, there were multiple vehicles broken into that afternoon all around town.

But this whole thing was done in 20 seconds. The cops took about 20 minutes to show up....... and I called immediately while the guy was still peeling out of the parking lot.
