U-Verse or Comcast or Satellite?

there are no good TV options.

Comcrap is the least-worst Internet option.

Had uverse. Guide, technology, and programming was quite good.

Moved to MH and got cable, sucks. Bad.

Switchd to satellite. Directv, its fucking awesome!!

:laughing You're stuck with Charter

That being said the Comcast internet issue sounds like you need a new modem. Swap it out and it should fix the issue.

BTW Comcast just came out with a new HD cable box and it's pretty sick. Turns your tv into a smart tv.

Rehashing this thread after over a year and I need advice.

I keep hearing about Uverse drop offs and unreliability in the East Bay, where I'm at. What have been your experiences now?

I'm going on 2 years now with Uverse. It's been good, not great as we've had a few issues, but not enough to sway us to Comcast.

Good:
*good picture
*can use STB as a switch (upstairs room has a STB, connected a switch to its ethernet port and connected PC's and Xbox to the switch, no need for wireless)
*Decent DVR

Bad:
*Slow interface
*stereo sound skips if connected to Onkyo receiver, fine with surround sound
*Have had sporadic disconnections, nothing major. Usually a loss for about 30 seconds or so.

As for Comcast, came close to getting it. But they left a sour taste in my mouth. I spoke to one of the reps at a Best Buy, the guy takes my info, but I never got a call back, so we went with U-Verse. A month later I get a bill from Comcast for service, even though I signed nothing and no one came out to install service. Just sent a bill.
