Warriors 16-17 Season

How 'bout them Rockets? LOL...

Anyway, the right to be the Warriors' next victim, awesome. I guess getting to the WCF and having beaten the Spurs would be a "good" Rockets season.

That's pretty funny. I cannot figure out Klay Thompson. Kind of a sphinx. Just so streaky anymore. It's like God took his 3 pointer away for the most part. If you remember his display in the All-Star contest a year before last, he was incredible. This year was sort of embarassing.

The one thing I really noticed on Saturday was Klay defending. He was really on his assignments. At that time, I decided that for that game, you don't refer to him and Steph as Splash Bros, rather the Smother Brothers. I love Warriors D. It makes the opponents often just look hopeless.
 
Things were definitely clickin'. Hard to not think they just really wanted to finish it. Draymond seemed really controlled. Too bad for Utah, but they are good, they got a good coach, a great crowd and I like their style of play (they don't play like assholes and they don't flop around). They are just overmatched by this current Dubs squad..

They posted a stat comparing Warriors to Cavs on both their 8-0 playoff runs.

Cavs shot more 3s and had a higher shooting percentage from 3. Warriors had a larger point differential and more assists.

I have to imagine the high 3pt shot and % for the Cavs is due to the Raptors and Pacers having terrible close out 3pt defense.

yeah Dubs 3s have retreated a lot this year. But so much more happens on the floor. Man, what a year. Last year had a dual rhythm of Steph and Klay, but Steph was whupped by this time last year (and with injury). KD is like the great pressure reliever.

I look forward to the next round. It won't be easy but the next opponent will be pretty tired. Funny thing is how fresh Durant looks right now. He had part of a season, had the injury, now he seems geared up like it was November. What you call a good problem.

Rockets at Spurs was the best playoff game so far. Damn! Second oldest player in the NBA had two key plays, including the game-ender.
 
Ginoboli still killing it at almost 40 years old! Besides rockets/spurs I enjoy watching john wall play. He's a monster
 
The best part was watching Harden trying to sell a foul like his head was knocked when Manu whiffed his hair....

Holy crap, just turned the game on and the Rockets are down 18 points to a Spurs team w/o Leonard with about 3 and half minutes to go in the 2nd qtr... :wtf

Much respect to a team without Leonard and Parker. Coaching is very important it seems. No disrespect to Mike Brown, but I want Kerr back for Pops.

I was actually worried more about the Rockets as a match up than the Spurs.

I think the Warriors match up better vs the Spurs. Lamarcus is gonna get shut down.

Leonard and Ben Simmons are concerns.

Both teams are going to do their best shutting the 3 ball down. Klay is gonna have to have a big series attacking the rim AND guarding Leonard as well.

What a shit show. Entire team (minus perhaps Trevor Ariza and Capela) shit the bed. Harden looked so sloppy and lazy (Rockets' message board full of conspiracy theories about the refs, Harden partying/at strip clubs the night before, Harden shaving points, Harden being concussed, etc. etc. etc.).

Have to marvel at Spurs' every year, and now they seem to have a future point guard (kid from UW).

IF Leonard is 100%...think Spurs can take Warriors to 6 games.

I would have agreed before Spurs/Rockets series, but SA really adjusted and shut down the Rockets (3 games under 100 pts). If SA can defend 3pt line and shut down lanes as they did against Houston..........
