Warriors 16-17 Season

Thoughts on ZaZa's foul on Leonard? He plays kinda dirty IMO and he's also smart enough to know how to hurt a player without making it look intentional.

I'd hate to see this series decided by a key injury....

That play happens all the time, just unfortunate that Leonard got hurt.

Zaza's not good enough to pull that off without looking if he was trying... :laughing

I also think Leonard's ankle is already structurally weak from the previous injury and stepping on Lee's foot.

this, just some good D cuz Kerr said man the fuck up in the locker room

I never knew that was a known dirty play. I can't see how Zaza could have intentionally pulled it off. Seems like you're setting yourself up too, planning to have anNBA player land on your body.

To hear SAS fans, you'd think he did a leg sweep a la Guile on him.

7 more wins!!

Someone have Klay sign a HAM radio or something, outscored by Zaza again?

Doh! I'll be honest, despite game 6 in the series, I'm rooting for the Spurs.
.

You are dead to me (sob). And I thought you were one of the "good" ones. :laughing:laughing:laughing

Srsly, if Dubs have to lose to anyone, my respect for the Spurs and coach are such that it's tolerable. Just not what I want at the moment thank you verrra much.

Yeah, I remain a Kings fan to some degree, but just was never a Warriors fan.

Trust me, rooting for the Spurs is foreign, but it is pretty amazing their consistent excellence. This is probably sacrilege, but I do find some of the Warriors to be a little cocky/annoying, with Green being borderline dirty. Yeah yeah, it's basketball, they're not role models, but it still is slightly off putting.

I really don't think Pops is in a position to bitch about zaza given some of the things his players have pulled in his championship runs...

Pop's rant is getting serious airplay, and I think it's BS...

Yeh, I'm disappointed in him. I keep hearing it's for the good of his team but if anything, it's gonna make the Dubs mad. What good is that.

The thing that bothers me is that it could be interpreted as a go-ahead to head-hunt one of the Dubs to even things up.

You mean for someone other than Robert Horry?

Also surprised, since "Pop" and the Spurs in general have a reputation for maturity, being above the fray, etc. Must be an attempt to gain some sort of psychological edge, with his team in desperate times.

Been in the wilderness flyfishing with my dad for the last five days. What did I miss?

Oh okay, even though it's not my job to look this stuff up for you on the internet.

Dubs played the Spurs first game. Were far behind for a all of first half, up to 24 points behind..

Kawhi Leonard accidentally stepped on good ol David Lee (who was on the bench) and hurt his ankle (can't remember which quarter). In second half, Zaza was defending a possible rebound and Kawhi landed his foot ON TOP of Zaza's on his way down. Zaza was looking forward, Leonard behind him so he didn't see but was obviously crowding the out of bounds line and being his human obstacle ZaZa self (just ask Durant about that noise).

It looked, to most people, like wrong place at wrong time but one ZaZa could not really see. Even tho Kawai said he didn't think it was dirty, Pop waited a day then got all mad about it. The absence of Kawhi will forever be the reason the Dubs won. For the books. Tonight is the rematch. Try to keep up.

That's what happened. And oh, after Leonard left the game in pain, the Dubs came back and squeaked out a victory, having recovered all the deficit. There were some great shots, but it was a damned close game. Pop getting mad might play around the league to all the haters, but it was the wrong thing to do to the Dubs, imho. They already almost got whupped and know they have to play their best game against the Spurs tonight and henceforth. Now they have an extra reason to get fiery. Oh maybe Pop is trying to get Draymond mad or something. Dray got a technical in first game for taunting.
