Warriors 16-17 Season

Why did GSW lose?

Fouls?
GSW - 27
CLE - 24

Rebounds?
GSW - 41
CLE - 40

Assists?
GSW - 26
CLE - 27

Shooting?
GSW shot 45%, but only 28% on 3pt shots.
CLE shot 53%, but also 53% overall on 3pt shots.

^ There's your answer.

Could it be that the Cavs won not because of some outrageous NBA referee conspiracy? But because they actually played a really good game, and all of their shots went in?

When they came out in the third quarter, they were knocking a Dub down on every Dub possession and gettin away with it. That initiated the flaring tempers, at least in part.

And I could have made the argument (and did) that GSW was extremely physical in the first few games, so much to the point where commentators brought up multiple times how physical GSW was being, and without getting called....

I don't doubt that this is going to be a physical series, but in the first four games, that has gone both ways.

Agreed, and the Warriors actually had more FT attempts. Two Warriors and two Cavs finished with 4 fouls each. Bad calls and no-calls on both sides.

This was kind of like that game Boston won a few weeks ago where they chucked up tons of 3's, except with much better players in this case.

The Warriors had 3 players with 2 fouls in the 1st quarter alone which made our defense intensity die down. The refs decided to swallow their whistles to try to even out the FTA to make it not seem so obvious.

Warriors made more points overall on FT, too. (Laugh @ Lebron FT percentage all you want. I was crying :( )

Curry - 14pts, shooting 31% FG.
Thompson - 13pts, shooting 36% FG.

Collectively, the Warriors went 11 for 39 on 3 point shots. Cleveland meanwhile was 25 for 45.

That game appeared really ugly and filled with lots of emotion, but when you look at the stats, Cleveland just outshot the piss out of GSW.

To the delight of GSW fans, 126 other teams were down 0-3, and not a SINGLE team ever managed to come back and do four in a row. The odds are still astronomical against Cleveland at this point in time.

The cavs had a great game. Too bad it was marred by crooked NBA policy.

Why were the Cavs so upset at the thought of the Warriors celebration on their court? Funny how the motivation arrived at that point. I'm not glad that game 5 was forced but on the other hand it would be cool to win at home for once.

On the bright side. At least now we still have something else "historic" to potentially be a part of. 0-3 come back after 3-1 ?

I give the Cavs credit for their lights out shooting, but the game was close from quarters 2-4 as I said previously. It was the fouls in the 1st being called against the Dubs that blew the score open

LeBron is sketching out his kick-drum design for 3-0 Lead on his next Halloween party. LOL.

What a crock of shit.

In the big brouhaha James shoved then grabbed a ref. Straight up assaulted him. Go directly to the locker room, do not pass go. Unless you are NBA royalty then the refs ignore it and the TV announcers don't say a god damned word about it. What a joke.

Here you go, two angles in slow motion.

All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others.

the Ws had a chance to come back, but they never really got hot in shooting. and the Cavs never let up. The officiating was predictable, and the Ws are good enough to overcome that stuff.

game 5, here we go!

Courtside is one thing .. but someone I know just spent $4k on 3 seats 20 row up. Dang. Warriors should hope for game 7. All that money ..

The powers that be will make it happen...

So, apparently for the two away games, it was a thing that they had a viewing party at the Oracle center???

Was that free? Cuz if people paid money to go to the arena to watch the away game on the jumbotron... : |:laughing
