Warriors 16-17 Season

Just like what JB said, the Warriors still do not have an identity. Still don't know Warriors we are going to get every game they play

It's the lack of defense. Look at Boguts "replacement" in yesterdays game. Zaza played only 11 minutes as a starter. In those 11 minutes, he was -14.

He has no presence inside, and is not athletic at all. And we have no one to replace him. No Ezili etc. Green can play 5 in spurts, but if you make him play 5 for extended minutes, he'll get worn out fast but other bigs.

Last year, it was our D that propelled our offense. We got easy and quick points. Open shots etc. I'm not seeing that, and no we are already seeing our stars playing heavier minutes per game early on.

I think a big focus should be on team defense, team rebounding.

The warriors are giving up something like 110 points a game. They gutted the defense to add KD. So far it's proving to be a bad idea. No one is winning a championship giving up 110 points a game. I figure they'll start playing better D, but can they play well enough to win it all?

The other possibility is in the last 2 seasons they've won the ring and won 73 games. Their motivation in the ring year was to win the ring. Their motivation last year was record in that it gave them purpose to play at a high level during the season.

Whats their motivation this year aside from wanting to be the 1st or 2nd seed in the west? They know the regular season means nothing since they are assuredly the top 1 or 2 teams to win the ring.

Some growing pains yes but I'm not sounding the alarm 6 games in that they are giving up too many points. 30 games into the season and they are 20-10 record wise and giving up 105 ppg, I'll be worried then.

I said it was a bad idea over a year ago. :x

They will just have to outscore teams now, since the defense is radically weaker now than the past two years.

In reality, the season goes til mid June. The games before Christmas are where you find out who and where you are. The games from Christmas to all star weekend are where the good teams put it together, all star game to playoffs is when teams play the way they need to for position.

By April the warriors will be fine...

I see the Lebrons lost tonight, omg , they suck!

Hope you are right! The team has been reshaped into something much different than the past two amazing seasons.

My boy Barnes dropped 31 pts last night for the Mavs. The GSW chemistry misses that kid so much.

Ah well, change is normal in pro sports. Adapt, improvise, overcome. :thumbup

Klay is back! Sweet, sweet form.

Nice first quarter. Kerr can rest everybody in the 4th or even 3/4 for the back to back against Denver.

Too bad Dallas isn't playing anybody but Barnes. I'd like to see Bogut.

This Phoenix game is pretty good.

Whoever scouted McCaw and decided to draft him should get a raise.

I drove by Steph Curry's new house in Alamo, I give it a thumbs-up. :p

Klay Thompson in 7 games prior to Prop 64 in California: 11-53 from 3 (20.8%)

In the 3 games since: 12-19 (63.2%)

Coincidence?

Come home mid 2nd Q to find the Raptors up by 2. Watch the Warriors go on a 24-7 (?) run.

And that's with West and Livingston coring zero points so far in the game during a combined 15 minutes of play.

Seems like the Warriors starters are kinda good at scoring. :p

McCaw over the shoulder to West. He does not look like a rookie.

I don't like Draymond trying to create on offense. He knows that's not his job, too. Somebody should explain to him that's he not that good at it.

Refs point shaving. Got to cover that line. Lol. Iggy started off the interview with Ros saying, "Line was 6."

The refs were very annoying on this game in particular. WTF.

PS. Klay's shooting slump bummer thing continues. BUt I was watching him last night during defensive play and he looked kind of flat-footed to me. Curious if any of you better-versed in the game noticed that or have observations.
