What say you, best BURGER in San Jose area?

My coworkers raves about the burgers here:

St Johns is pretty good, not the best burgers I've had but good and well priced on half off days. They have good garlic fries too. I just wish they'd put put fresh peppers ala 5 guys on their burgers instead of pickled ones.

Agreed completely - I was being told in another thread elsewhere that $7.50 for a burger was outrageuos. I say FUUUU

Where are you buying a $16 edible steak at? Everywhere I go for a good steak is atleast $24

I have been looking for a Pastrami Burger, but I will almost settle for a good burger at this point. I have not found anything that I have liked.

WTF is a pastrami burger? I am really interested!

If you ever go to Salt Lake City you can get them either at Crown Burgers or Apollo Burgers. It is a grilled cheese burger with pastrami stacked on top. Shredded lettuce, tomato, and thousand island type sauce.

I found Athens Burger in Dublin has a pastrami burger but not quite the same.

They look like this picture.

There is a Juicy Burger on Bascom, at Elliot St - one block south of San Carlos/Stevens creek. Is that not part of the chain?

You are absolutely correct. My bad. For some reason I was thinking of the original location that was on MERIDIAN... Brainfart on my side as you did specify BASCOM :p

Ps - never tried the Bascom location but will and report back!

they lied to you

$17.75 for an 1/3 # angus on a bun with sprouts, jalapeno, and bacon - fries and a coke. Now I know what too much for a burger really means!

The bun was overly dry and the burger was a preformed pattie which leads me to believe it isn't really "angus"

I'd give it a 3.25 out of 5 - another Barfer was equally as dissapoint and we will be trying another place soon!

have picture, will post later - I was very dissapoint!

Not to show off or anything but my inlaws raise their own cattle, the best burger I've ever eaten was from my own kitchen. I would like to find a place on par, I'll check back on these places when I'm in SJ
