All decent stick and throttle setups are sold out or being sold at obnoxious markups.

I tried flying with mouse and keyboard. After several crashes in random neighborhoods around here, I’m shelving FS2020 until I get proper controls for it.

Wifey was impressed I was able to fly over our house at least. Even if I did crash into Valley Fair shortly after I did.
 
I managed to find my old logitech extreme 3d pro joystick in the garage. turns out they haven't changed at all in 10 years. Putting aside the fact that Cessnas use a yolk and my joy stick's z-axis function (you twist it for rudder control, I don't have rudder pedals), I found the flight model to be pretty damn realistic for the 152/172 and both mostly fly as I remember the real things to fly (I haven't played with simulators in 25 years, though, so maybe they were already well modeled.)

I flew around over the east bay, I noticed the bing-derived scenery is not quite as amazing as they led you to believe, for instance my home town had way too many trees, which they supplemented to cover up low model resolution. Or maybe it's procedurally generated to save on the amount of data they need to load. If I zoom through the same flight path with google maps, it looks more correct.

Has anyone else started playing it?
 
Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 1 and 2 remakes are out tomorrow on PS4

Yeah yeah, I know what some of you think of them squeezing us with all the remakes out there but I'm all in for this one.

The engine sometimes interprets patches of green, like grass, as trees. Take a flight down the middle of the Las Vegas strip and you'll see rainforests where there's supposed to be grass.

Ha, I'm sure have a friend that has one.

I'll let you know how it is after I play awhile. The Warehouse level is already available for demo and installing now. Rest of the game tomorrow.
 
So far so good on the Tony Hawk remake (demo). Feels and plays like the old game. From what I can tell from the intro, most if not all the old skaters, plus skaters, old soundtrack, plus new songs too.

Basically, exactly as advertised and expected/

I got it on preorder... Hoping amazon has their shit together on delivering it timely.

It'll be the one thing that gets stolen off my porch this year.
