Looking for a work table for my bike. Anyone know where to purchase or suggestions on building one.
Thx

Handy has one of the best ones but homier.com (http://www.homier.com/detail.asp?dpt=&cat=&sku=07111) has the cheapest motorcycle lift I know of at $200.

I have one remarkably similar except we cut and rewelded the end to make it flat and the wheel chock's pretty useless so, you may wanna use some tie downs as well or just replace it with the Handy Industries wheel vice like I did. I really like mine!

A word of warning though: Once you get a lift you'll never wanna go back! Heck, I've almost talked myself into getting a second one - they're that nice. :)

Mike at Mikes Tools & Equipment
510 367 4000 has them in San Pablo. He sells them from a Storage facility along with engine lifts and other accessories. He has manual pump and pneumatic air lift tables for around $400.

If you want o build your own:

I just got one from Carlos Neves. He makes them in 6' or 7' and they are about 18"-20" tall. Legs fold up wo it's about 1 inch flat. I think the width is about 2' wide. Perfect for the track, and working on your 2-stroke. The 7' one is perfect for a 250, while the 6' one is best for a 125.

I talked to him at the Infineon race, and he delivered it to me at the track at THill the next month.

I am very happy with it, and since I had to do a top end at THill on my girl friends NSR, it made the job so much better then sitting on the ground to do it.

thanks,

Thx for the info. Do you recall what he charges for the tables and how to get hold of him other than at the races?
Thx,
Gary

Sorry, I don't have his contact info. I don't want to give you sticker shock on the cost... go look at some of the tables he has made at the next race. I have mine in my trailer in storage, otherwise I would let you come over and check it out at the house. The cost is worth it after you use it. The quality is excellent.

Thanks,

Hi I'll keep it short since I'm not paying for advertising. I'm Mike from Broadway Lift & Equip. Co. (Formerly "Mikes Tools & Equipment", thanks Sane_Man)

We have the Homier type lift like posted above for $250. Two piece platform, 800# Capacity.

Also have the lifts like posted by Sane_Man for $375 for a manual hydraulic powered model, or $425 for a dual function model which can be operated manually or pneumatically.

We also carry and stock all models of the Handy lifts starting @ $789.

If you need the small scissoring jack used with the lift for rear wheel removal we have that as well. Cost is $60 with the purchase of a lift table, or $75 by itself.

And for the dirt bikes we have a high lift portable scissoring type lift for $150. Max height around 35".

Free Bay Area delivery is included with the purchase of any of our lifts. You are also welcome to come check out the lifts in person at our warehouse in San Pablo.

If you would like pictures and specs on our lifts send me an email or give me a call. Thanks, Mike (510)367-4000

Bumpitybump for Mike

Mike @ Mikes Tools & Equipment
(510)367-4000

He delivered a lift similar to this one:

http://www.homier.com/detail.asp?dpt=&cat=&sku=07111

It was a present for my boyfriend this past Christmas, and Mike worked VERY hard with me to keep the secrets and play Santa! He was truly awesome! He also didn't charge me for delivery (he had other deliveries to San Jose), and even if there'd been a charge, it was EXTREMELY reasonable.

I learned of Mike through another motorcycle board, GSTwin.com , and he was a GREAT find!!! :thumbup

That powerstand is very nice. portable, storable. No hydro lift action, but the fact that you can take it to the track with you, or put it away when you don't need it...:thumbup
