As pointed out, US soccer appealed the decision and they were correct. Which is what all other nations do for red cards. You all are trying to make it into something it’s not. Move on.
 
Oh, so all the reports across worldwide Media, and soccer people who know a lot more than either of us stating that the USMNT has no avenue to overturn the suspension immediately following the red card and over the subsequent days were all wrong?

This totally normal course of action and outcome was just missed or overlooked by all the pundits?

Your opinion seems to be an absolute minuscule minority in the world on this.
 
Everything I've seen about red cards has been that they can't be appealed and the only change could be an extension.
A red card means a player is immediately sent off and must leave the pitch, with their team forced to play the remainder of the match with 10 players. The standard punishment is then a one-match suspension, meaning the player misses the next game.

However, depending on the severity of the incident, FIFA’s disciplinary panel can extend the ban beyond a single match. Serious foul play, violent conduct or dangerous challenges can all lead to additional games being added to the suspension.

Are there some on here that are more expert in the rules than everybody else in the world?
 
It’s not the first time a red card has been suspended. Ronaldo recently had a red card suspended so he could play the opening match’s of this WC.
 
US Soccer did not appeal. FIFA changed the rule for this world cup to not allow red card appeals.

VAR was used incorrectly to give the red card. USSF threatened to take legal action and present to CAS, which I already copied and pasted is THE deciding body over nearly every single international sport in the world when it comes to legal rulings. It is even in FIFA's bylaws that they accept CAS rulings as final.

Being that FIFA IS corrupt AF, they wanted no part of CAS doing legal investigations / discovery.

There is an amendment in the rules that allows FIFA to remove suspensions for red cards. They did that instead of having to open up their books to CAS. They also did it for Cristiano Ronaldo, Nicolas Otamendi, Moises Caicedo, and Tarek Salman.

I've been working on VAR since it started in MLS in 2018. I'm sorta familiar.

I'm not a ref tho, this shit ain't my fault :laughing

Looks like the waffles are moving on. The US looked timid. They weren’t going to 50/50 balls or moving to the balls they were passing. It was a very poor showing on their part.
 
I was almost like they were satisfied with getting to the round of 16.

Belgium look really strong and crisp with their passes and positioning on the field. Congratulations to them.
