Ok so I got these sliders installed when I got the bike, less then 3 weeks ago. Today I was just taking a look around and deceided to touch a slider. I have to push a bit for it to move not to hard but still.

Anyway here are some pics to show you how much it moves, its just the left one. Should this be normal? The other one does not move at all, so do you guys think I should call the dealer and have them fix it or is this not a big issue? and something I can fiz myself

wtf is it mounted to??

I had to look at the photo a few times since it looked photochopped.

It looks like you have a bracket that extends the slider up and out of the fairing hole. That's not going to do jack with anything above a tip over.

You need the engine mount sliders, or drill a hole into the fairing so the slider can extend out from the right bolt hole.

why not disassemble your fairings and see why its moving? maybe they forgot a bolt or it fell off?

if you payed someone to do that you should get your money back.. they are suposed to be as good as cut sliders though.. maybe have the dummy dealer fix that..

Is it really hard to put the fairing back on? I saw a video of a guy doing it. But I dont want to take some thing off and not be able to put it back on...

It seems like a bracket (no-cut slider) for the fairing. Remove the fairing and re-tighten the bracket bolt.

i dunno, on my yzf600r it was super easy just a few bolts/screws and off it came. if you dont feel like doin it just take it to the dealer

Yeah, the shogun sliders replace engine mounts; so they best NOT move. Something not right.

looks like it's on some sort of mounting bracket that can pivot around the mounting point - if it can, it will - especially when a large force hits it (crash or drop), which is when you need the sliders most! These are eye-candy only. If they move, they're not going to do the job you put them there for..... they should be direct mounted, but that often means cutting the fairing so they sell the type you have to get around that. Far less effective in case of impact.

he right though, frame sliders bolt to the engine mounts. my cousins left side slider came out and when we got back to his house his motor dropped a little on the left side

+1

Nothing to really worry about. Does nothing to the bike. Actually what you have is the conservative way of putting sliders on. Just that it won't do "much" if shit happens. I am sure they dealership charged you for the bracket extender as well. I don't think any dealership would drill a hole in the fairing. Something you will have to do yourself.
