Yay datacenters...driving up electricity costs

Disagree that natural selection is stronger now, I believe 100% the opposite.

Idiots are insulated from most consequences of their actions and we are continually padding the world to keep them safe.
Valid point. We are safer than ever.

However we are on the path.

Agreed 100%

Education, science and facts matter, along with a holistic worldview.
Not feels, tribalism and selfishness.

At the very least, you can't get hit by a car if you're looking for them.
Or at the very least, when driving and making a right turn, scan the intersection/crosswalk/area for pedestrians before making the turn to avoid running over pedestrians.

We (riders and older people in general) aren't the problem. There is a perfect storm of pedestrians on their phones and drivers on their phones occupying the same space. All the more reason to look carefully before entering the road, but the idiots instead pay less or no attention.

Yes, nuclear plants do offer a solution, however, our politicians have thoroughly demonstrated that they are thoroughly unfit in handling nuclear waste, every last one of them prefers to kick the can down the road rather than properly handle it and the costs of delying are enormous and growing at a squared root rate.

So, as viable as it is, we can't continue with it until the past waste is properly dealt with, which I don't expect to see happen any time soon.
Modern reactors are far more safe, efficient, and produce significantly less waste

The Hanford site has been a disaster for a long time :(

Yup. And the cost to clean it up goes up each year.

Every politician has been kicking the can down the road.

That road is chock full of cans already...

Not just that, but compressed natural gas imports have gone up and up over time, lowering the supply in the US = prices go up.

Oil & Gas drilling in the United States has been very successful, but so have exports.

US markets for natural gas were insulated from the global price of gas because of bottlenecks in exports. Now that export facilities have expanded in the US regardless of the Administation, the US consumer is now more and more exposed to the global price of natural gas.

Good for buisness, but hard on the average American.

You seem to have a very binary view of just about every single topic.
The world is more nuanced than you appear to be aware.
I've watched you become your own echo chamber.
It must be so uncomfortable going through life like that.

Prove me wrong about pliticians kicking the can down the road with Hanford?

Also, all of my warning from a year ago have come true. It's just your perception catching up.

most people have a cell phone, when crossing the street at night pull it out and turn on the flashlight so drivers can see you.

I think we're done here.

Another one. Not very good imo, but almost 500K people have watched it after only 4 days

Riders and older people aren't removed from having to pay attention on the road. Idiots or not, we still have to watch/anticipate and slow/stop if necessary. It would be nice though, if everyone took and understood the risks being on the roadway and treated it with needed levels of attn.

Agree 100%
Phones have made a lot of people less aware of their surroundings, even when their life depends on it.
