YouTube channel FortNine

Has anyone else been enjoying this channel. The guy reviews bike and gear. Makes some pretty informed observations and to me is funny as heck.

Heres the latest review of Kawasaki H2SX.

Thanks for the link! Didn't know he existed and enjoyed the different approach.

I loved simply f/another review of the H2R

Agreed. The bike was on my short list to replace the '05 10r and they have one at SF moto. Unfortunately it convinced me to put my focus back on the RSV4rr. S1000rr and the 10r.

I love his videos. Almost all reviews of gear and bikes are garbage because they won't really criticize anything. FortNine channel doesn't seem to give a rip about preserving his/their access to press events. He will trash a bike if it is trash. Also shooting guns at helmets and belt-sanding pants makes perfect sense.

I notice that he will do reviews of low end gear that I'd never consider buying but I guess there's a market for that stuff and someone is interested.
But that H2 review was kinda nuts.

Sort a Rod Serling meets Captain Kirk.
I like his vids.. i too give him a pass with laughter.

That was a great video. +1 for the "flight jacket" and his "call sign" on the helmet.

As for a review, I'd have to say I'm not quite sure what the conclusion was. But, as for a 6 minutes of entertainment, it was great.

I've seen other videos of his, and just love the overall quality and vibe of videos.

You guys know that FortNine is a canadian-based retailer of motorcycle parts and accessories, right? He's not just some random guy who decided to do video reviews on YouTube one day, it's basically the Canadian RevZilla.

I did not know about FortNine being a motorcycle shop. They sure don't plug it much on the videos.

Yeah, but he's more entertaining than Anthony(?) on Revzilla….

Personally, I like the service that Anthony and the Revzilla crew provides. Reading gear info is boring.. visuals always helps. Even saw ex-local Joann Gearchick on there.

A lot of work goes into it, he deserves the exposure. I don't know if I can sit through all of it, but it's good stuff.

I've been enjoying those. Pretty funny for a Canadian. Did not realize it was for the benefit of a retailer though... clever!

His tire reviews were pretty good, especially how he called out what each tire was meant to do, so you could know the mfgr's intent for the tire. You don't get that on most tire websites.

They've turned out a few funny ones besides this guy

John Candy
Jim Carrey
Leslie Nielsen
Dan Aykroyd
Mike Myers
Eugene Levy
Rick Moranis
Phil Hartman
Norm Macdonald
Martin Short
Tommy Chong
Lorne Michaels
William Shatner

Wait, you don't vibe on Anthony's Jersey, auction barker, bro style? Next you are going to say you don't like sparkle on your jean pockets. :teeth

FortyNine is a mixed bag. I like some of his videos. I actually enjoyed his attempts to test gear for waterproofness and crash protection the most. Not exactly Snell or Sharps quality but fun anyway.

His most annoying video was about lane sharing but I pin that on the fact that it is still illegal in The Great White North. I guess they missed the memo that they shouldn't copy us.

I prefer Baron Von Grumble and 44teeth. Jizz machine and faffing are some of their descriptions.

That answers alot of questions I have about it. He seems to have deep pockets for gear and bikes. And the production values of the channel are well above other similar stuff I watch. Eric the Car Guy, Hoovies Garage, etc

It was a fun piece. Took a lot of work no doubt.

Don’t know if anyone does better product reviews than Brian Van at Sportbike Track Gear.

Well, let's be fair he is as guilty of hyping as Anthony. But the thing he does that no one else does, is he always tears down the product inside and out. So get to the see the armor and guts of of the helmet. Which makes a huge difference when ordering something online. Why Revzilla doesn't do this I have no idea.

Revzilla is really good at showing you the bullet points from a mfg's description. They're not really doing "reviews" as much as they're just breaking down features, sometimes calling out the negatives of a product.

Chris and Al are great. New Budget Bike Battle Italia should not be missed. They went from 90's 750s in fair condition to 2000s full Italian superbikes in seemingly great condition. Still a budget but a much healthier one. They work so well off each other. I also like Zack and Ari for a more California feel.

Even though Zach is from Vermont and Ari from Cape Cod, they do fit the mold.
