YouTube channel FortNine

Man, that review was like he was channeling Freddie Mercury for a moto-video.

Eerie.

Queen had motor love, I didn't know about moto-love.

This guys videos are hit and miss for me. Some I like, others he just annoys me the whole video. I still watch them tho because he informative most of the time.

Well, let's be fair he is as guilty of hyping as Anthony. But the thing he does that no one else does, is he always tears down the product inside and out. So get to the see the armor and guts of of the helmet. Which makes a huge difference when ordering something online. Why Revzilla doesn't do this I have no idea.

As I recall, Revzilla did more of that in the early days. Now that they're the Wal-mart of motorcycle gear, they probably don't have time to go in-depth given the size of their inventory.

My gf think hes annoying as hell. I think hes informative and slighty comedic

Enjoyed the fortnine vids for awhile now, he's made several jokes about people hating him but he chalks it up to his unfortunate resemblance to King Joffrey.

I enjoy the revzilla vids because one of their "models" is pretty much the same size as me so I know what fits and what doesn't. They're pretty good at getting across how something can fit through their vids.

His videos are great...I watch about 2/3 of them...he still loves the Cardo over the other helmet bluetooth comms too...

That April Fools video was pretty good. :rofl

FortNine is always a good watch. Hes a young guy but knows his stuff and isn't too pretentious.

I prefer Baron Von Grumble and 44teeth. Jizz machine and faffing are some of their descriptions.

My favorite as well! I find myself channeling my inner BvG when complaining about something while riding which is always fun.

Chris and Al are great. New Budget Bike Battle Italia should not be missed. They went from 90's 750s in fair condition to 2000s full Italian superbikes in seemingly great condition. Still a budget but a much healthier one. They work so well off each other. I also like Zack and Ari for a more California feel.

Budget Bike Battle series are really good. Looking forward to the next one!

That's it right there. This Ryan F9 is one of the best things on YouTube. I ain't no young 'un myself. But I think most people hating on him are old schoolers who want someone to recite HP numbers & pretend it's all meaningful instead of riding the bike & giving an honest opinion.

I started out hating his voice (& cheekbones), but loving the content. Now, I don't care about the shame stuff. He rules. His sarcasm & sense of humor are awesome.

He is a bit younger than the demographic on this site, but I got over the "ageism" after a week and can appreciate his stuff. Its definitely great content. Glad he's making motorcycling digestible for the next generation.

First impressions matter, and he kinda does have a punchable face and irritating tone. But I got over it the content is great.

I personally really enjoy his channel. The guy is brilliant IMHO, and his production values are superior to most other YouTube channels. Despite the occasional hater, the guy is very very popular.

I am aware that F9 is basically the RevZilla of Canada. But as far as the YouTube channel & Ryan as a personality, what are they trying to sell? None of the videos I've watched are every pushing a product. Are there other F9 videos that are more about advertising & driving business to F9? Just curious since I think the channel is great, but I'm curious what's being sold.

I think one of the best things I heard on the F9 channel was in his review of the FZ-09. His take was generally positive, but probably more "meh." But at the end he says something to the effect of what the FZ-09 does really well, is remind you how awesome the FZ-07 is. I don't remember a single time that any US motorcycle publication has ever said: "get the smaller bike, it's better."

Brand awareness and goodwill.

I think he’s great - he explains his methodology when testing products and seems to take pains to come to a reasonable conclusion - even at times likely costing the store sales of products he will fairly say are not worth it. I appreciate honest and substantiated opinions, even if ultimately they’re still subjective at least he’s done SOME homework. I enjoy his channel a lot.
