2011 Spring Rally -- BARF does Quincy!

Found 'em in Downieville. Ran the food eatery out of hamburgers, they did.

Quincy, where the beer flows like water.. and then someone dropped the S-bomb *(snow?) in the parking lot and we all scatter like roaches. Beautiful country, too bad they're getting inches of snow starting tonight.

Just got back home today around 5pm. Did about 474 miles and my arse is hurting!
We got beat up by the wind pretty good. I hope everyone made it back all safe and sound with no speeding tickets, although a couple of folks got pulled over. It was great meeting you all in person. The ride was the bomb and the scenery was just gorgeous!

Sorry we (I) decided to cut it short, but with the snow level dropping down to 3,500 feet (and now actually updated to 3,000 feet with freezing temperature), that was most likely the right and sensible call.

Just got home. The wind was terrible. Had the company of Budman, Jmack, Happy Hornet, JacekPSUR1, mrtnz, Nando, Shadow Wings and SIN for the day.

Until the next time (Hawthorn in September)... See you!

Wheee ! Home....got in about 670 miles...I think :loco

Chill and I managed to wander into La Porte on our way ¿down? the mountain :laughing

You went up to LaPorte? We went up 162 to the snow. Film at 11. That road is so epic! Even though it was only 10 miles from the detour to where there was too much snow on the road for us to easily ride further, those 10 miles were simply amazing. Don't get me started on the whole, "teh 9 is the best road in California!!!111" stuff. :rolleyes

Pics later.

Sorry about the confusion today, Steve. When we rolled out of Downieville I was thinking that you and Chill were already planning to not accompany us. :dunno We had quite a crew as it was, and I found a new righteous goat trail! I mean, it makes Morgan Territory look like a putting green. :party

It was so great to see and ride with so many friends, make new friends, drink muddy waters, and hang with all you great folks! :party

Good seeing everyone! :twofinger :twofinger :twofinger

Bwa-hahaha! It looked smooth on the map... :loco I am so sore. That jackhammer of a detour was sketchy at best. Too much fun.

I told you in LaPotre (while shivering) "you may not want to follow me again after today." :laughing
