most assuredly there. :thumbup Thanks for sweeping the miscreants Ray.
agreed, good spot to stop, chill, with really nice digs. about $80/night. (this was a "last minute, we rolled up and asked if there was vacancy on a saturday on the lake" :teeth so not so bad on price, imo)

Thanks, I'll send them an email from work tomorrow.

I think another informal Quincy Rally in June maybe? The Gold Pan Motel deserves more of our business. :thumbup
I only logged a total of 568 miles but I left Cordelia at 3PM Friday so no shame.
LOVED riding with you all!

Totally agree with you regarding the Gold Pan. Tom scored in selecting that place. :thumbup

As for a reprise, maybe June, or maybe August (better chance the full road may be repaired by then, saving us the Bald Rock detour). Maybe we should consider just an overnighter. Makes it easier for folks to participate. :ride

in regards to this rally having to end change direction, I'd like to add my +1 to going back to Quincy and the gold pan in general. they treated us right, were great for refunding us our money due to the 3 day snow alert. good deal in my book, and damn those roads are FINE....but, uh...keep it chill, or Trooper K will have a talk with you. :teeth :burnout

Wow......

Hey Gang,
The GOJO(Greg) and Hyper(Sara) made it home today!! What a great weekend. Awesome meeting everyone, and makin' me feel welcomed. After getting fuel in BFE, we and Banjo headed back towards the Napa area. Check out his map, cause I have no freakin' clue where we went. Anyways, ended up in Santa Rosa, where we said good bye to Banjo and hello to DT & RpM. They were there for AMA races. Today, Hyper and I braved the wind, rain, hail, and I swear to god the snow was falling just a butt-hair above us. We simply slabbed 101 back home. Spend an hour in the hot tub trying to thaw out.

Thank you planning such a wonderful trip, and I hope to see you all again very soon. Pictures in a while, on the trip thread.

Thanks everyone for a great trip, great roads, friendly people.

Rowan the Aussie guy we met just called, he is stuck in Reno, going to get a tow to lower ground tomorrow and hopes to get back to the city tomorrow evening.

See you all on the next one.

Thanks Celt for really making Rowan welcome. Spoke with him as well, he was talking a tow from Truckee to lower altitude and to continue riding :thumbup

I think it's safe to say BARF has made a permanent impression on Rowan :Port

we heard something about that. the lady in Clearlake said that there was like 50 cops or something called out, since there was going to be a rumble of some sorts. :dunno :laughing

After rip'in 20 and 53 at a rather high rate of velocity, we were just chill'in in back of a line of cars, when I seez a chpy speed'in down on us triple digits, :wtf no lights, no sirens. "Oh shit!"
He sits behind us briefly, then then he lights us up. Double oh shit!!!" I Shit!!!!!!
I wuz look'in fer a place ta pull over, and wonder'in if Greg would be able to talk his our way outta this, when the cop when blast'in by. then another one came blast'in by. Phew!

We dun turned off on Butts canyon (Cuz I likez butts) and I wuz watch'in a whole bunch more chps & sheriffs rip by on 53. Theyz wuz all code 3 now.
But the damage wuz done, I spent the rest of the day riding in a stew of my own festering bodily fluids. :(
Damn Vargos MC

Thank you Tom and Kurt for putting together a short-n-sassy rally :applause .

Friday the ride out 36 and 70 was beeeeautiful!:)

Saturday's ride down Hwy 49, over Flying_Goat Road :party to Hwy 162 I witnessed WHY the quote in Budman's sig. line is dead-on balls accurate:
"I dunno bro. A Ninja 250 is all the bike you really need." ~ CuriousMike
:hail:hail:hail:hail

Saturday afternoon with the GOJO and BanjoBoy was absolutely awesome :ride.... across the valley on Hwy 162, to Hwy 20, to Hwy 53, Butts Canyon Rd, Howell Mtn. Road, Deer Park, Spring Mt. Rd, St. Helena Road, Bennett Valley Rd, and some other squiggly roads I can't remember to Rohnert Park into the arms of my beloved dtrides :kiss

Enjoyed mucho meeting my first BARFETTE riders:boobies: Mrtnz + Happy Hornet (Horsepower, I'm glad you are okay:thumbup)

Slowblood: you crack me up :teeth

Sunday... today... today I think I grew balls o' steel with the GOJO slabbing up Highway 101 for ~3-4 hours in hail/sleety/cold rain on a naked bike.... Well, balls o' steel + a stupid button for:
1. ignoring the weather report :rolleyes;
2. believing it simply didn't apply to ME somehow :angel;
and,
3. thinking 100% chance of rain was a percentage against which I had some chance of winning a bet :facepalm

Thankfully, dtrides, RpM and Mrs. RpM were behind us in the support vehicle.

Here is a pic of Mrs RpM and the GOJO outside the Coffee Critic in Ukiah:

Looked like a fun ride, much better than moving 200 tons of hay by hand to beat the rains.:(

Sorry I didn't check in as a no show: lost my cell phone for 2 days in the fields. :nerd My flakiness for not checking in is 100% in tact. :)

Slowblood cracks me up too!:laughing

Glad to read about the great time everyone had. :cool

Tom did 90+% of the work. I just like to lead the st00pid routes. :toothless

Well done, Tom! :thumbup

Moving 200 tons of hay is a shitty excuse for a "no show"! :twofinger

We missed you! :teeth

^^^ What, Greg gets an umbrella girl?!!! :wow
Well, if ya' look kinda close you can see I stole the only dry spot:rofl
+ Ya, he had an umbrella girl, but I had a garbage sack + sock boy (aka dtrides), who put dry socks and garbage bags around my feet into my boots to help keep my feet dry :thumbup....:wtf

I used two plastics bags to keep my boots dry for the water crossings! :laughing

I'm sorry, I ment viagros. Whatever? :rofl

Oh, my dad just sent me an email:
Good thing you didn't pass through Clear Lake yesterday - The Press Democrat noted that 100 members of the Vagos motorcycle gang were hanging out at the Clear Lake Bar. 43 police were summoned, but there was no reported violence.

Ah ha! interesting...:party
