Pacific Track Time Debuts All-New Timing System

Yeah, they sure didnt have it working at Thill on Monday. I was pretty bummed about that! Downgrade.

It's not that we are downgrading it is just that the system was not what we thought it was going to be. Everything about the zoomius timing system was still in development. The software was not what we were told it would be and because of that we are holding off on the system until they come up with better software. We were trying to help out with the development but it did not work well enough for what we needed it for. When they come out with software that works better we will start using it again.

I did like the setup while it lasted, Chris seemed like he was having a hell of a time keeping it going though. Hopefully the kinks are worked out soon, I do like how all the times were stored on your website and easily accessible.

Isn't this one of the options AFM considered for this year? I also remember Z2 tried it at the RFR Endurance Races in 2008, some controversy over exactly how many laps Elena did, and it came down to human backup. A shame really, not ready for general use. Everyone wants a system with a 99 cent on-bike investment.
