2026 F1 thread, when season starts there will be spoilers.

I’m sure everyone said the same when DRS was introduced. I didn’t follow enough back then to recall any accidents due to that. Maybe there’s a higher risk because the mechanism is more developable, maybe not.

KyleEngineers suggests that Ferrari’s wing flip is working with their exhaust flap to generate forward thrust.

No, but I would have if I had known about it.

The SF event didn’t end as planned

Not interested in DTS. Manufactured shit. Jumps all over the season is really annoying. Glad its out there though to bring in the casual fan.

DTS jumped the shark when they stopped providing good insight that we can’t get elsewhere. Now it’s less of that and more weird editing to manufacture drama. They miss too many important storylines too, like Merc DQs in 2024.

I watch F1 for the personalities and the car development.

I loathe US motorsports coverage so it’s hard for me to get into Indycar personalities. And Indycar has next to zero car development. So I’ll prob never watch Indycar regularly.

I agree that F1 is well focused on the development and tech, while American racing (Indy/ NASCAR) is focused on the racing itself. Two different followings, really.
