SAN FRANCISCO 49ERS Reuben Foster. LB: The rookie linebacker looked like the best player on the field against the Vikings. Foster chased down runners and pass catchers from sideline to sideline, exhibiting outstanding instincts, awareness and acceleration. He finished the night with eight tackles, including a tackle for loss, while commanding the middle of the field like a warlord. If the preseason is any indication, the 49ers' D will return to prominence with Foster leading the charge. Grade: A+
 
Joe Haden released by the browns!

oh man he'd look good in silver and black...don't know if they have the cap space for him though.

rumors are he could be going to the steelers. that's like Lukaku moving from everton to manchester united. i feel bad for the small teams sometimes.
 
Haden hasn't been good for a few years. Injuries fucked him up

we all got spoiled by having the P52-Bomber in the middle. i won't mind being spoiled again, this time by a warlord. :party

I have seen Patrick Willis play, sir, and he is no Patrick Willis.
 
tbh I love me some P52 and there's obviously no comparison between a HoF'er and a rookie. that Brad Smith was so hard i felt sorry for the mans family. so many other game changing plays. so much chemistry and potency with a blossoming Bowman.

the chase down of Larry Fitz on the right sideline was one of the greatest recovery plays i've ever seen in football.

i can only hope and dream that Foster even comes close to this, over time. and dream i shall because the regular season hasn't started yet!

I think Patrick Willis' early retirement will keep him out of the HoF. I mean, he played 8 seasons (7.5 Really), and his 7 Probowls with DROY are impressive, but his tackle total isn't that high, he isn't even top 250 in Sacks, Forced Fumbles, or Interceptions, and doesn't hold any single season records I am aware of. A baller for sure, and I love Linebacker play, but he would have had to put more than one Contracts worth of work into his career to make HoF I think. I think if he had played 10+ years, he would have to be a shoe in, but your boy Baalke chased him out of the HoF.

next week can't come soon enough. Will be ordering RedZone again. The best TV imaginable. 10am to 5pm with no commercials. love it.

Of course my wife decides to enter a fucking triathalon on week 1 fucking Sunday that I should go a cheer her on or somthing, then my uncle wants to hang out after. WTF! I'm surrounded by commies who hate my happiness. But I'll find a way to get a little football watching in. cuz, 'Murica

My wife just signed me up to help my son and his fiancé move into their new house. Damn builders couldn't have gotten it done a week earlier? Soccer loving heathens the lot of them!
