Ammo. . . Is he selling ammo?

...Will need help with the carbs because I have to keep the choke on for it to stay running. Can anyone identify these carbs? He said they were Mikuni smooth bores but which exact ones are they so I can find a rebuild kit...
or block it up with sections of 2x4

I think it says Keihin right on the sides of the carb, don't think those are Mikuni smoothbores? It's not a hand bent Yosh pipe either, those are very rare and the header pipes are cut and welded sections, lots of them. Memory is fading but it looks like stock carbs. Sudco will have what you need.

No, it defnitely says "Mikuni" on the bodies. I'll pull them off and measure them up since I'll rebuild em. I did order a Sudco service manual. After looking at GS750 Yosh pipe images online, the shape is definitely Yosh. Theres one set of springs on the whole system, where the 4->1. I'll media blast it at work and see if there is stamping.
Hey, watch out when cleaning those parts after blasting. That media/grit gets everywhere, and sometimes is very hard to get out of little crevices, and I've known more than 1 guy that his clearances were opened up immediatley when the bike started, and all that grit came loose and circulated the engine. Double/triple/quadruple clean all that stuff. You've got what appears to be a fun little project, and if done right, can have some pretty good power. The cylinder head is where all the power is. Getting a good port job, and making sure it's got a very good valve job on it, will guarantee a good running, durable bike.
Good luck,.
Thanks for the advice, we have a parts washer also. Its like a media blast except its for washing parts after media blasting. I will also use compressed air to clean up. Hopefully that'll be enough cleaning. Motor has Yosh cams and 69MM pistons. Head looks to have been ported and I'm looking into OE valves specs to compare to whats on there.
But check this out. All that media from the blaster, is going to be circulated in the parts cleaning solution/solvent/whatever it is. Take a hose and bucket of hot, soapy water to everything after you've solvented it off several times. You'll see lots of foreign particles coming off of there.
I used to work for a Top Fuel race team. They didn't bead blast internal engine parts for just this very reason. That stuff gets every where.
Thanks for sharing the build man! Look forward to seeing that beauty back out on the road.
Cool beans, enjoying the pix and info.
.
me, too!
gold rims ... drool
Hey Papi, word on the streets is you're the GS guy!

Heres the block after fins were blasted and coated.
Haha, all lies, I know nothing
What coating did you use?
To be honest, I don't know the name. Its what our machine shop at work uses. I just wanted it to look like "raw" metal.
Ah, so rattle can spray paint, got it.

Definitely came out of a can. It said "1200 degrees" and "metal" on the can
