a last moment to say goodbye to the glorious rural Baja.

On our way up the Baja Penninsula we encountered traffic stopped. As we neared Ensenada we came upon protestors.

We drove through the beautiful wine country and crossed the border at Tecate.

A few hours North from Tecate we opted to stop at Agua Client County Park. It's obvious we are back in the US because there are signs telling you what not to do EVERYWHERE!

We chose a beautiful camp site under a tufa dome and took a long lingering soak in the pool.

The next day we took off to explore Anza Borrego.

we took the Sprinter up a couple of pretty cool washes and into the mud caves. We even discovered a few awesome campsites which we marked on our GPS to come back to later this year.

DO NOT PEE ON THE CHOLLA BOSSDOG!!!

Nice I rode through some parts of Anza Borrego after LAB2V it was fun. Ocotillo Wells is out there also unfortunately I didn't make it there.

Perhaps a little something to fend off the Baja Blues.

I took almost 600 pictures this trip! Had no idea I shot so many.
Anyhow, I'll post some of them below in chronological order.

HAAANK's Pictures

I was so stoked on the trip this year...some of you may remember that last year I only got 5 miles from home and all hell broke loose. Some pictures I couldn't help but do a little post production. Most are unfiltered/unedited.

Somewhere in Central CA we stopped for lunch. The sunshine was more than welcome.

Rebekah found a new use for my gas can carrier, Ian Rebekah and I (and my land cruiser dudes) thought it was hilarious

Somewhere south of Ensanada, Santo Tomás, I think. I was so stoked to be back in Baja after a 20 year hiatus.

Ian was a good sport and took this shot for me while the truck and trailer were blowing in the wind.

Rolling into BOLA was surreal, no way to capture the brilliance of the blue bay water with the islands glowing in the sunset. Turns out this is my second time in BOLA, the first was in the late 80's early 90's during a red tide. the beach was covered in dead fish.

That dinner was amazing, tortillas and refried beans are sooo good in Mexico

When we rode into PSF I found an oil leak that I'd end up chasing the entirety of the trip.
