Ka Ching!!! I suggest anyone displaying gold necklaces, rings, bracelets, earrings etc. use caution displaying them. Wow.

Silver’s run up is nuts. I sold all my physical silver back in 2015 when it was cheap, about 70 pounds worth mostly in the form of 100oz bars. Looks like bad timing however I put the money from it into GOOG so didn’t work out too bad. Wish I had kept one of those bars though.

Hah, how many times did I walk past silver in Costco at $30-odd per oz, sagely deciding it was a poor buy in my infinite wisdom. That said, I did buy some down around that price. Feeling good about them. I have a few 10 oz bars that are cool, also bought at a good time. I'm sure it will tank and my gloating will be for nought. Meh, it's all fun.

Metals getting slammed today, it was bound to happen eventually. I still think this year will be inflationary and war-driven (Iran, Cuba), so this might be a good buying opportunity for those still on the sidelines.

Metals investors are psychos. Silver will be back down to 40-50s in no time. Don't be the odd-lot idiot buying at the top tick, that's just embarrassing!

I started buying gold in the low 3ks so.... it needs to drop a lot more before im upside down. Regardless for me its a hedge on dollarydos going zimbabwae.

The AI bubble seems to be deflating
Deflating how? It's just paused in its grown, not contracted at all.

Backdoor IRA's? Hmmm......

What's the story on those? Am I supposed to put like $20k in a traditional IRA...then move it over to a Roth IRA to get passed the max $7,500/year limit?

I am sufficiently diversified, and have "play money" in certain accounts. I have $2k on the sidelines in Etrade, have certain ideas what to do with it but am curious what the BARF mindset would do with it. I don't need it and may let it sit, will not be sad if I invest it and lose based on "advice" here. Well? What say you re: this small change?

GSBD and let it ride forever....but might want to wait about 3 months and see what happens with share price. The dividend yield is amazing.

13.78% dividend yield? Hmm, where have you been all my investing life? :)
Ckear dividend trap, but if you like those, maybe look into the neos funds like btci. Personally I need the trend to at least be flat. I might be willing to eat some inflation for a big dividend, but total return can't get hit beyond that. Check out armchair income on youtube for decent 10% recommendations.

I don't understand the point of chasing high dividends unless they're qualified dividends with lower taxes. Most are not, which means you're stuck paying ordinary income tax on them. You'd be better off selling holdings when you need to, and just pay capital gains which, if they were held long-term, tops out at only 20%

I'm not buying it; I just thought the dividend seemed too good to be true. I will stick to more well-known decent divided stocks such as Coca Cola for my dividend vehicles.
