2025 F1 Season (spoilers will be discussed no doubt starting on March 16th)

I heard there was a gear box issue with Sainz's car where it shifted "hard" causing the spin. I also heard that Sainz suggested for Albon to pit when he did which is what let Albon get 5th (Antonelli's 5 second penalty was reversed after the race). Great start for Williams (IMHO). They are looking strong.

Not a great start for the rookies. Most of them DNFd.

Ferrari needs to work on their strategy (nothing new) and Hamilton has some work to do with the communication side of things (just some growing pains IMHO).

HAAS screwed the pooch when getting rid of both Hulkenberg and Magnussen. They should of kept one of them to help mentor the rookie. I do not think Ocon is good enough for the job. It is going to be a long year for HAAS.

Who lit a fire under Yuki Tsunoda's ass. He was looking strong for awhile.

How long will Liam last at Red Bull? He looked pretty bad this race weekend. Will he last the season?

How did Jack Doohan get a ride? I know hes the son of the legendary Mick Doohan but I never ever heard of him in the F circuit till like last week.. lol

I’m gonna start keeping score on whether or not the VCARB is a better car than the RB. Mostly it’ll still be a Yuki vs Lawson battle. So far, VCARB is winning.

Jack Doohan... guess he didn't like motorcyles? :dunno

Sauber score more points in one race than it did the whole of last season.

And Williams scored just 17 points last season. After one race, they have 10 points. What could it have been if Sainz hadn't crashed out.

RIP Eddie Jordan :(

The legendary ex-F1 team owner and analyst Jordan died in the early hours of Thursday morning at the age of 76 following a battle with bladder and prostate cancer.

What a life albeit cancer cut it short.

Condolences to all that knew him.

China got a surprise rule change. The amount of flex allowed at the rear wing gap has been decreased from 2mm to 0.75mm this weekend and 0.5mm in Japan (under the test loads). Given that this change was introduced in the middle of a fly-away, the FIA has recently taken more video of rear wings, and all the teams are saying they haven't changed anything, I doubt anyone will be affected by this. A hypothetical team all-in on a design that flexed too much would be screwed because of lead times on making new wings. Plus, the FIA gave the teams like 5 months for the front wings. So I think this is a preventative reg change.

Godspeed Eddie. Thanks for your contributions to this sport.
As a previous team owner / manager I think he did add pretty good commentary. (Though at first he got on my nerves, I think his broadcasting skills improved a lot over the years) and him Martin and Tedd meshed pretty well.

Chinese GP Sprint Qualifying in the middle of the night. So, quick spoiler....

Whoa! Lewis on pole for the Sprint Race.

And LOL @ RB's #2 driver.

I made the mistake of looking at BBC which I don't usually do on F1 weekends and saw the relatively surprising spoiler.

No rain this weekend in Shanghai.
